Interesting the team upped their game when the crowd was more positive. Mowbray picked up on it as well!

Yeah, best atmosphere since the Gillingham game. It was fantastic to hear that at home. Good on Paul too from Manchester who travel down. Puts some to shame with their constant excuses.

Great support from the fans tonight.

Also, on a side note just seen that Bristol City had 700 fans at Bradford tonight for a promotion party. Absolutely laughable support. We'll take more to them on Saturday

They brought 3800 to Ricoh?

I mean we'll take more than they took to Bradford for a game which clarified their promotion to a game where we'll probably get beat.

Obviously their support at the Ricoh was good but that was a bit of a one off

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray applauded the Sky Blue Army and said that tonight's match was 'the loudest I have heard the Coventry fans since I've been here'.

City drew 1-1 with Oldham Athletic, Reda Johnson gaining City a well-deserved point with a last minute header.

Mowbray was disappointed with gaining only a point, but praised his players after dominating virtually the whole game.

"That was by far the best I've seen us at home," he said. "It was the best home performance far and away.

"We created chances and pressurised Oldham, the fans really spurned them on and we dominated large parts.

"They had few chances in the 90 minutes and they scored from one of them, which is disappointing.

"The fans tonight made the best atmosphere at home since I've come here. 7,500 sounded like 27,500 at times.

"They almost sucked the ball into the net at the end. It just makes you think what it could be like if there was 27,500 here.

"We could make it daunting for a lot of teams, especially if you play like that where we pressured them so much.

"There is still lots to do however, I said that in the match day programme. But I'm pleased with how we managed to back them up and apply ourselves to attack and we got the goal in the end.

Mowbray was angry with the way City conceded their goal, a free kick routine that allowed Danny Philliskirk to divert the ball home.

He also feels that the point could be vital in City's quest to maintain their place in League One, with results elsewhere going the Sky Blues' way.

He continued: "We work so hard on defending free kicks, so for the way to concede like we did is absolutely ridiculous.

"Thankfully we got the equaliser. That point gained could be valuable, with results elsewhere helping. We can't stop now and we go to promoted Bristol City on Saturday hopeful."

Great support from singers corner.the atmosphere spread across and block 20 woke up and was buzzing. Let's make it loud at the Crewe game. I am hoarse. Well earned point after a stupid silly goal given away.

Think the ref and Lino helped get at atmosphere going seeing how useless there were first half

You know, I think there's quite a bit of astute observation in that; some of the decisions did seem to get folks around me buzzing.

They were useless. How did they not see their defender grab the ball in the first half?

Linesman definitely should have flagged for the foul on stokes but bottled it.

At least the officials are consistent at this level..... Consistently shit!! Giving poor decisions on both sides to make up for previous errors.

Fair play to everyone there for giving it a go. Such a shame it was only 7k and those in the Higgs stand didnt get the chance to join in

Such a contrast between the equaliser last night and the one two months ago v Scunthorpe

Sounds more like it last night. The atmosphere at football on it's own can be inspiring enough to encourage people to return.
