It was, Grendel. It was terrible timing. We had just come back, there was euphoria, good feeling, excitement. I was absolutely stunned when he came out with that. Really knocked the wind out of my sails and I know lots and lots of fans felt exactly the same.
It was just dreadful timing.
I can't remember the exact circumstances behind the comments but I'm guessing he was led into it by a question from the interviewer, like if the Ricoh deal would be extended/possibility of ownership down the line.
If he had came out and said they had moved back to the Ricoh with an eye on ownership then no doubt he would be a liar and building up false hope for fans as he knew at the time there was no chance.
I doubt that the timing of the statement was an accident either. He really is a party pooper capable of pissing in anyone's parade.
While I'm not going to disagree it's not the reason for such a dramatic drop in attendance after the Gillingham game.
What...may I ask is your problem? Is it that SISU signed a legally binding contract to rent the Ricoh? After all, nobody forced them to buy CCFC did they? Their fucking bully boy tactics were there for all to see from day one of their tenure....Share holders that were forced to GIVE UP their shares to SISU will testify that. The council were going to approve anyone willing to rent, or buy ACL/Higgs shares....Incidently, ACL/Higgs shares were for sale from day 1. The council are no different to you drooling over a big fillet steak and chips, only for it to give you the shits very soon after. Wait for the "That's a crap analogy".....Do I give a fuck.....No!The council approved Sisu as their preferred bidder for ccfc as their only interest was someone providing £1.3 million a year? With you all the way bro.
SISU signed a legally binding contract to rent the Ricoh?
As I was saying....Taken from the High Court Judgement by Judge Hickinbottam..........12. At the time of the acqu isition: i) SISU were looking to obtain an interest in the Arena . Indeed, an early approach appears to have been to purchase a majority shareholding in ACL . Their primary plan to obtain an interest in the Arena was to acquire th e Higgs Charity interest in A CL , but they were unable to do so that stage . ii) As Mr Goudie put it, SISU bought into the Football Club with their eyes wide open: they were well aware of that company’s legal obligations to ACL , notably in relation to rent , which were no doubt reflected i n the purchase terms including price . SISU and ACL signed Cooperation Agreement Heads of Terms on 26 November 2007, which emphasised that, although, fol lowing the acquisition of the Football C lub by SISU all agreements between the Football Club and ACL (e xcept the Licence Agreement) would be reviewed, absent agreed changes , “the primacy of the existing agreements will remain”. 13. I have indicated that, in 2006, Richard Ellis had valued the Arena at £37m. On 18 August 2011, it valued the Arena again , as at 31 March 2011, at £19.6m. At that time, in addition to the £1.3m rent from CCFC, the Arena generated the following annual revenues: £1.425m plus profit share from the catering and management services contractor, Compass Contract Service (UK) Limited (“Com pass”), and £880,000 from naming rights. The casino was also due to bring in an income, risingDid they? I was under the impression they inherited a deal that had been agreed to under the previous owners. From what I have been told Ranson / SISUs plan was the only one that didn't require ownership of the Ricoh and that is why it was preferred by CCC. Ranson's plan was quickly getting promotion to the PL and then cash out. Obviously that didn't work and it wasn't really until Fisher took over that rent and revenues were (correctly) flagged up as an issue.

Ann Lucas was probably stood over them with a gun when they signed. A smoking one probably.
Sisu have also signed a co-operation agreement with stadium owners ACL for the continued use of the Ricoh Arena.
not having a experienced keeper
Tim Fishers 'This is only temporary, we're building our own stadium' comments within 3 days of us moving back to the Ricoh. Further alienated support and numbers fell by 60% in a week.

Didn't say that though did he?
He said own.... Not build.
I think someone posted a link dismissing that when you said it last week. I think it turned out he's said both and on numerous occasions at different overlapping times. So who knows what he actually means.
So they did.. turns out you didn't bother to check the date of said 'quote' as it was July 11th.... before the season even started and well before an official return to Ricoh was announced.
After the announcement though - the word used was own - not build.
Unless of course you are going to try and find some more spurious information to make your point.
That was me Tony. I posted proof that he and Septic both said, and signed paperwork saying he(Fisher) and her(Septic) did indeed say "Build" To which he never replied too.........................................@ ChiefDave....Hold on a minute! according to a lot on here, along with Fisher and Septic, SISU were the "Only Show in town" Would you like to move the goalposts for a 3rd time mate [email protected] tend to find a good Chicken Madras gives me the shits, but I tend to keep going back for more. Much the same as CCC going back for more punishment from SISUI think someone posted a link dismissing that when you said it last week. I think it turned out he's said both and on numerous occasions at different overlapping times. So who knows what he actually means.

It's hardly proof when you find a quote supposedly attributed to a person at a specific time.. But actually did not occur at the point you claim it did.
Why don't you go the whole hog and claim to know the lottery numbers... 2 weeks after the draw has taken place.
