This is how I see it too. If we did go down there is no way he would stay, and it would not harm his CV too much as we were on the way down anyway. But Mowbray needed a way back into the game and we provided that in the short term. So if he keeps us up -against the odds - there will be bigger clubs than us wanting his services. A Championship club will snap him up, I fear. That is regardless of what resources CCFC promise him, there will be a better offer on the table than our basket-case club. Who could blame him?

tbh it'll boil down to whether he can get a better job elsewhere.
Bet Adams wishes he'd spoken to West Brom when he had the chance after all.
If he ends up at Acrrington I wouldn't be happy(!) but if he gets a half-sane club with a not overly large negative bank balance and a ground close to existing, then he'd be a slightly odd man indeed not to take the chance.
Then again... he's taken us on to begin with, and that's slightly odd! Does he live in the area? Is it easy piun money to pay off a mortgage or something?

I am not sure that he will believe anything Waggott says so think now that he might be off, there will be some far more attractive jobs in the championship going maybe he will be lucky and get the Leeds one and go from one shitty owner to another.
If we stay up I still think he'll stay - if he were to walk away after keeping us up, in somewhat unconvincing fashion, I think it would reflect badly upon him and look like he didn't think he's got what it takes to turn it around. I don't see that a host of clubs are looking at him and thinking 'what a job he's done there at Coventry, lets snap him up'.
I was being a bit sarcy mate (soz) - my way of dealing with our current predicament

If I was a betting man, I'd say he won't be here but I'm not sure which bit of that paragraph says he won't be here next season. It's not uncommon for people to go home an take a break at the end of the season. There will be no training, whats he going to do? Sit in his hotel room for a week? I imagine most of the players will be going home to visit friends and family after the Crawley match.

They're moving us to the north east and we will be known as the Jarrow sky blues, the sky blue trust will organise a protest march from Gosford green to Jarrow with banner's such as "Marching for JOB" and "give us our club back cannie lad".
So if we go down they'll be looking for another manager then....

I wouldn't be surprised if TF and SW don't want him to stay. TM sounds too much like he knows what he's talking about. Them pair need a fall guy between themselves and the real world for protection of their own positions and I can't see them getting away with it with TM like they did with the likes of SP and AT.

It's not just the manager who thinks were are a chore, 20,000 have agreed with him since the first game back, they obviously haven't enjoyed it either

I think whatever division we are in Tony Mowbray will stay, so long as Waggott and Fisher allow him to run the playing side of things from top to bottom. TM will have noticed the potential here and i think it has enthused him. Going down although a massice kick in the teeth can be and has proved to be a springboard to better things just look at Swansea, Burnley and now Bournemouth. I also think relegation might be the straw that breaks the sisu camels back and they piss off. Don't get me wrong i don't want relegation at all but so long as TM stays for atleast one season i think we could kick onwards and upwards. Fans are talking of being promotion challengers next season in this division so we can be in a lower division.

I would like Mowbray to stay. However if we go down I cannot see it. Yes he had limited time and had to work with what he inherited....but his remit was to keep us in this division.
I do not think this is a top six squad, like some, but it is good enough to stay at this level. So he needs to fulfil the task set.
Even if we stay up I am not a 100 per cent happy it will happen.....time will tell.

I think he is vertually gone regardless. The short term deal was hardly a comittment from the club which means he is going to be looking anyway. If we go down he is a manager with some pedigree and will be looked at by alot of championship & some prem clubs. His NE roots might attract the big two in that area particularly with Mike Ashley's way of working, he will be relatively cheap and ticks the 'local' box.
We will be back to square one after Sunday in my opinion but i think we either need to conclude 'negotiations' early and put a manager in place which has the summer to work with what players we have left in the club ratehr than piss around like we normally do. I hope TM stays but i just cannot see it.

Although good enough i doubt very much if Newcastle or Sunderland would look to Mowbray, their fans wouldn't accept it, they see themselves as big clubs and would be pushing for some foriegn name

Of course, there is also the possibility that if we do go down, we may get "stuck" with TM cos no-one else will want him......
