Wigan & Millwall coming to the Ricoh (if we stay up that is!) (6 Viewers)

Rotherham's victory vs Reading tonight relegates Wigan and Millwall to League 1. Hopefully we will meet them in battle next season.

Fucking Millwall. Animals.

I know it may be tarring them all with the same brush, but I have them pictured in my head as sitting in their tatty armchairs in their underpants, scratching their balls, growling at their pitbull, who is either called Nosher or Satan, whilst eating Pot Noodle and watching The Only Way is Essex on the box.

And that's just the women.

I rather like my life! Just kidding but no I know it's probably not like it was a few years back but I just wouldn't enjoy it. To be honest I've never gone to a London away day I hate the whole place

I spend far too much time down there for work and football related meetings. As for The Den it should be as safe as houses. I was right in the middle of their fans waiting for the train the season we got relegated. The only trouble I saw were two middle aged women having a dust up just behind us. Even the Stone Island wearing Millwall skin heads tutted in disgust. You'd have to be pretty thick to start trouble near the ground now with all the amount of Old Bill on duty and CCTV everywhere.

Let's stay up first.

Milwall has followed the gentrification of south London. A lot of middle class families support them now.

As for their away support... They will bring a following smaller than most in this league. Terrible on their travels.

20 min walk from my house to the DW - just need to stay up now!

If we do stay up and people travel here then don't bother with the Red Robin near the ground - the ale's sh1t3! Stick to the pubs in town and only a 20 min walk to the ground.

I look forward to going to Millwall. Things are different now. It will be good to go there and watch the game instead of missiles coming towards you. And before I was never sure if I wanted us to win or not :D

Never had a problem at Millwall, yes intimidating inside but outside isn't anywhere near as bad as some think.

Seems pretty accurate to be fair.

Either you have been lucky or you didn't go when it was bad.

If Wigan get the right manager, they'll bounce back up. FA cup winners only 2 years ago. Wonder what exactly went wrong there?

As for Millwall, they are back where they belong.

Just like Portsmouth did?

The Sky Blue Crew will be bricking it when Millwall turn up! Make a nice change from seeing them trying to provoke reactions from genuine fans and failing.

The cheerleaders we used to have?!

I wouldn't mind going to both. Haven't been to either before, although Wigan will probably be easier for me.

when we played Millwall in the cup at the Ricoh, saw about 10 young chavvy city fans giving it absolute loads while the police were there and the Millwall fans were getting onto coaches and behind the metal fence. A Millwall old boy hurdled the fence and took 2 steps and I think the bellends were in Tescos by then the way they legged it.

Wigan away will be one of my local games. Could be the next closest to Blackpool. Only about 2 hours away from Wigan.

Behave Astute, Millwall are not anything these days, only been a little active this season as they have been shite on the pitch and only picked on the vulnerable but certainly not how they used to be.

Shit away support yes but those who they do take away have been more for the jolly this season, plenty vids of their mighty 200 followings online this season, embarrassing at Rotherham

Hope City players don't come out with anything stupid this week and I hope that a Crawley player or two, does.

Steve Evans: Rotherham boss tells Millwall to 'enjoy League One'

Rotherham United manager Steve Evans says his team's Championship survival was inspired by a Millwall player claiming the Millers lacked guts.
They beat Reading 2-1 on Tuesday to ensure their survival and relegate Millwall and Wigan instead.

"A Millwall player said we've not got bottle. I've got 12 bottles of pink finest Champagne and we'll be drinking them for about a week," said Evans.
"Look forward to League One, son, and keep your trap shut."

Two good fixtures and a big improvement on what they've replaced. With Burton and Shrewsbury I hope we stay up. Southend will be seen too.
