So pre season training begins in less than a week and unsurprisingly we are yet to have any fresh faces through the door.
As I see daily updates of fellow league 1 clubs signing some decent names it really does beg the question as to what Mowbray's demands were. He stalled for a very long time presumably to negotiate wage/ transfer budgets but all he seems to have got so far is a few tins and paint and dodgy dave the painter and decorator to flick his roller around Ryton.
I had a lot of optimism around the delay in him signing to be honest, presuming that putting pen to paper meant he must have had a decent capacity for getting players in (financially) and also through his reputation.
Fall at the first hurdle? Thoughts?
