Who's been to the fewest stadiums? (1 Viewer)

Following on from the Best Stadium thread, I'm interested to know if there are others out there who have been to very few stadiums other than HR or the Ricoh?

I wonder if there are 1 or 2 who have never been away at all, ever.

For what it's worth, here's my list of stadiums I have visited.

St Andrews

Villa Park

Molyneux

The Hawthorns

Upton Park

Cambridge United

Oxford (old ground)

Brighton (old ground)

Stoke City (old ground)

Hillsborough

Wembley

Filbert Street

Watford

Blackburn (old ground)

The City Ground

So for me, no Old Trafford, or Anfield, or Stamford Bridge, or Highbury, or Maine Road or White Hart Lane. 15 away grounds in total.

Am I one of the ones who has been to the fewest? Last away game for me was Wembley in August 1987. Nowt since.

How haven't you been to an away game since 87? Only chance of getting a good atmosphere when Cov are involved is at an away game.

Blackburn's old ground - huh?!

I counted up last season and think I've been to about 35?

When I was younger I only really went to the local away games like Villa and Forrest. These days I tend to go to more away games than home games but that's more down to living on the south coast than anything else.

The City ground (Forest)
Huish Park (Yeovil)
Selhurst Park (Palace)
Gresty Road (Crewe)

So only 7 non-CCFC grounds for me. I need to get out more!

I don't think I'm too far behind to be fair Otis. I go to a fair few now from a work point of view so have been to Old Trafford but only for work. Those where I've watched City:

Villa Park
Bristol City
Swindon Town
Southampton (Dell)
Southampton (St Marys)
Portsmouth
Spurs
Reading
Colchester
Crystal Palace
Stoke
Nuneaton
Havant and Waterlooville

Only 13. You can triple that with work but doesn't really count.

Which is your favourite visited a few whilst there!

Including Port Adelaides (old ground I think now was 2011) the AMI stadium bit of an odd dump with strangely a bit of character to it.

I'm a Melburnian, so the MCG by far!

Adelaide Oval used to be fantastic before the redevelop - still had the hill and a touch of the old school about it - but apparently since the redevelop it generates a far better atmosphere.

AAMI Stadium was a shithole...but you're right, it did have character.

Yep why MCG is top of my list, at pitch level it's breath taking. Fantastic walk in from the city from the Yarra!

fortunate to visit Adelaide oval before the revamp made an effort to visit all 5 test grounds was out there for the 10/11 series but only went to the Melbourne test.

Must have been to around 70 + League/Conference grounds plus other smaller non league outfits on top, all but about 8 when City have played. Not that many to tick off but I only want to visit with the Sky Blues. Think I may have done circa 600 home matches all told.

I started going away in the last seventies and I loved the experience. My lad has been to quite a few away games and grounds too and he really looks forward to them. In Fact, he's presented me with a list of ones he wants to go to this season. Top of the list, weirdly, is Shrewsbury.

Not too many myself aside from HR and the Ricoh. Also been to Villa Park, Sellhurst Park, Franchise Park, Sixfields from the Hill, am I allowed to count Butlin Road? and probably the most impressive Telia Park in Copenhagen.

I used to like going to Butlin Road and doing Non-League too, Tony. I remember once VS were due to play at Bristol Rovers midweek, not sure why, and we went all the way down there and it was called off!

Done 63 current stadiums in the 92. I have done many of them more than once including Stoke x5, St Andrews x6, Walsall x5, Leicester x5.
Plus done about 20 which are not currently around.

Also, Nuneaton, Hinckley, Tranmere, Tamworth, Leamington, Solihull Moors etc outside the football league.

Been to quite a lot of non league grounds but not watching Leamington rather than City.

City away games I've been to:-

Barnsley
Scunthorpe
Sheffield United
Stoke
Everton
Crystal Palace
Nuneaton
Leamington
Notts County

Think that is all. Done a few of those multiple times. Will try to get a few new ones in this year.
