Sounds like he had a decent game asking anyone who went is he ready to step up for a regular slot yet ? I know it's only one game but how does he compare with Leigh Burge ?

Played well last night. His distribution seemed quicker and slightly better than Burge (although a few misplaced kicks). But soon to tell but don't think there is a lot between them on Saturday and Wednesday showings. Absolutely nothing that any keeper could have done about the goal.

I think this is why TM hasn't been too worried about the goalkeeper position, as we have two decent young keepers who are developing.

First time in a long while we have been in this position.

Could tell he was at arsenal as a kid. Soon as he got the ball he was quick (too quick at times to release) he made a decent save but most saves were standard. Seemed to command the box well and the silky skills against the striker was amusing in front of us

Simple question then In your opinion Is he better than Leigh Burge ?

I don't think there is much difference between them to be fair. I'd maybe keep it as we are with RCC getting some game time here and there. As mentioned his distribution early on in the fame was woeful, both with feet and hands but he was always looking to roll it out short and get the game going quickly. Handling was ok. Shot stopping looked decent.

Did he command his area ? That's what I look for in goalies, yes distribution is important but that can be worked on

He did okay well in that area. Dived at full stretch to palm away a cross and that seemed to be what boosted his confidence. Took a few high balls in the area but none of them under and pressure. Could hear him shouting occasionally.

He pulled off 3 superb saves last night, absolute top drawer.

Would say only one of his saves was superb, others were okay.
Claimed some crosses well and tried to keep game moving. He was good, but still think burge should start in the league for now, but if he lost for, would not be bothered with CC coming in.

he had a good game, I like both him and burge. I appreciate exp would be nice but don't think it's necessary on our budget.

Would say he is similar to burge in that area, defo not on par with murphy's shouting, but he claimed some crosses, and shouted a bit.

I was very impressed with him in pre-season and think he's a better bet for number one than Burge.
