Anyone that saw Paul O'Connells in the Ireland rugby last week it was very similar, almost did the splits and his body weight all went down on 1 side.
Could hear him scream from block 20.
Be surprised to see him back in 2015.

Happened right in front of me. Immediately grabbed his hamstring. Looked in pure agony and was covering his face with shirt to hide pain.

We can cover with Ricketts moving over and Phillips coming in, but it does leave us a bit thin and we won't be able to afford any more injuries amongst the back 4.

My immediate thought - Martin has been playing above himself I fear as well. Phillips needs to be taught to be a defender too!

I think the back 4 since Martin came in at burton have been immense. I think ricketts has been excellent at full back. Yes he can cover Reda but I don't think he as strong or as good in the air. I like ricketts calmness going forward down the wing. As for Phillips (a good squad player but....) I am not convinced of his defensive qualities let alone his ability to support the winger. All in all Reda will be sorely missed

Time for Phillips to step up to the plate if Reda is out long term

Going off some fans opinions on this site , we wont miss him as he's a liability ..
We shall see lol

He didn't lose a header yesterday and was very assured.

I'm one of those that thinks he can be a bit of a liability as you always feel he could make a mistake at anytime but there's no doubting we'll miss him and hope that the injury isn't long term.

He was up against 5ft 6in Redshaw and 5ft 9in Cullen, he couldn't fail to win every header yesterday.

Just in time for Christmas Reda lol!

As I have said before Reda has some good qualities, but many faults. If anybody can improve him as a player it will be TM. Just look what he has done for Aaron Martin.

Lmao so subtle stu

It's a fair point he's 6ft 3in, I would expect him to win every header against a 5ft 9 and 5ft 6 striker. He played ok yesterday, so I'm not dissing his performance. I would say the same about Aaron Martin who is also 6ft 3in.

How many goals has Read cost us this season?
One IIRC, I think that applies across the back line, some may not like his style/method but his stats are fine IMO

You pick faults in certain players all time whilst others get away scot free

I've seen a possible link but u have denied it. So I'm now I'm wondering what the reason is

Yep, he has done okay this season, we look a whole lot better defensively. He can be a bit rash and his positional play can be very suspect though. It is easy to see why fans like him because he is commited and can score goals; he is just not as brilliant as some fans like to think he is.

In my opinion his biggest asset to us is his development potential under TM. TM was a very good CB although limited in the skills area. TM will ensure that Reda focuses on the basics and does the simple things well first. He will utilise Reda's attacking strengths in the right situations and curb some of the cavalier attitude. As TM said to Aaron Martin, sometimes you just have to head it and kick it away, put it out for a corner or a throw in, just get it away, that's your job. Other people are in the team to play the football and produce the fancy passes.

I hope Reda is not out for too long. good luck to the guy.

I've picked faults in a number of our players, over the last few years this has included Burge, Haynes, fleck, Kent, Murphy, nouble, Jackson, Elliot, ball, clingan, Martin, baker, sheffers, madine, Webster, Malaga, Pennington (at right back) to name but a few.

But you carry on with the racism accusations.....perhaps you are the one with the problem, a victim mentality that you see things that aren't even there.

It's a double whammy really as whilst Ricketts would be a competent replacement at centre half we'll miss his quality as a right back.

Come on cc4l, you have never used the r word but the insinuations you have made have been pretty clear to everyone on here that's read them what you mean... Just like these..

stupot is a typical boo boy...at least i hope thats all it is.

kick it out.

its digusting the views you have and hopefully one day they wont exist in football.

lol something tells me you would not like jay emmanual thomas or didier drogba stu

lol still talking about nouble ahahah. kick it out.

stupot will be miserable if cov get promoted.

your LOLing at the comment was rude and probably more out of your "views" than at me so i dont take too much offence.

He was doing so well, but it was only a matter of time before his glass body broke somewhere! Lets hope he recovers quickly, and hes back in the team as soon as.

Would love to see Pennington back, but not sure how much must be left in the jar if we follow up our interest in Eagles.

Only 5 loanees allowed in match day squad will be the issue. Cole, Armstrong, Kent, Murphy, Morris.

Drop these and it weakens not just starting line up but bench options. If you drop Morris who would cover Fleck and Vincalot.
