Meanwhile away from the boys squabbling... I like Reda, he is a powerful centre half, he doesn't get bullied easily and as has been said before he scores goals..hurry and get better Mr Johnson your team needs you

I went to watch the development squad v Stratford Town last night. Cian Harries may well be one for the future, seems to read the game well & is more than comfortable on the ball but from that one game (obviously it might have been a one off as it's the first I've seen of him) but he made a lot of mistakes and gave the ball away far too often, but (based on that performance) I would certainly have big reservations about him being ready to step up to the next level. I must admit i was slightly disappointed by the u21s, Kelly-Evans has bags full of pace and made up a fairly exciting right hand side with possibly Shipley? and George Thomas was very lively but there wasn't a lot other than that. Lateef looked out of his depth at that level let alone the first team.
May have been just an off day but there wasn't too much to be excited about and if not for some terrible finishing and one fine save, Stratford Town could have had a handful.

The Sky Blues have made no official announcement but the Telegraph understands that at one stage they had resigned themselves to losing him for the rest of the season.

All the indications were that City would confirm the prognosis yesterday but they have now asked for a second specialist opinion on the scans.

Whatever the final verdict, Johnson looks certain to be sidelined for months rather than weeks.

Use that Eagles money to bring in either a RB or a CB depending on the quality of what's out there.

Maybe John Terry fancies a few games in L1 as well?

Well we could go for a midfield of Beckham, Lampard, Gerrard and Cole, but it never worked for England, so I am guessing it wouldn't work for the City either.

So much for wrapping him in cotton wool so he can last the entire season.

I tore my hamstring years ago and it is agony but I was back playing in six weeks after physio twice a week, seems it must be a bad tear if somebody who could have intense physio will take all year to get back.

Surely everyone could have seen this coming?

i don't think we will see him in Sky Blue again, as much as this is just an unfortunate injury that could happen to anyone, that will be 34 games in 2 seasons. Its just not enough. Wages could be better spent elsewhere.

So so gutted, as you can imagine my favourite Coventry City player at the moment.

Absolute monster of a player for us and will be missed massively!

Hope he makes a quick recovery.

This isn't a result of Reda being injury prone. It was a very bad challenge which the referee somehow missed. Thankfully it wasn't on one of the smaller/less well built players as it could have been a broken ankle at least.
He seems to have knuckled down a bit under Mowbray so might work a bit harder to get back sooner than he might have done under the previous regime.

Hamstring injuries have nothing to do with being tackled, what on earth are you going on about?
