It’s not surprising at all. They’ve been treating us to a completely pointless opening ceremony type show before every game of the last few tournaments. Must say I have enjoyed the random acts popping out of nowhere for 10 minutes at half time recently. Toploader, One Republic, Chesney Hawkes etc.
They’re the one team I wouldn’t want to face. They don’t concede. If they’re in the play offs they’ll win them regardless of the two teams they’ll play. In that situation the rest have got a better chance of beating Sheffield United, Sunderland or Leeds.
They’ll almost certainly try to. Smaller qualifying groups in Europe makes it easier. It’ll be a bit more difficult elsewhere. South America is the first that springs to mind.
