I agree. Midfield players cover over 12kms a game and the key element in the team staff decision is managing the volumes the players cover. We need players capable of playing 46 games at a high level.
The fact we have players on the bench that come on and add greater intensity is a bonus this...
I would be shocked if we spent £100m if we got promoted. I'd imagine Doug would pay off the mortgage on the CBS first, then spend circa £40m on the squad and the balance on increased player wages and infrastructure.
Whilst BTA & EMC have been playing well this season. They do tend to hold onto the ball too long and deny Wright the opportunity of a through ball. BTA seldom looks up to pass it quickly.
However, that wasn't the reason we lost tonight. I think being outnumbered in midfield and very poor...
Totally agree. We battered them for almost the whole game and then they scored with their one breakaway. I seem to remember that we clapped our team off the pitch despite the loss.
The results didn't reflect the talent of the squad for the "entertainers" season.
The loss of McCallister and Keane in one transfer window, along with the bad injury that finished Steve Froggatt was a major factor in our relegation.
The recruitment that transfer window was poor.
