I was travelling from Gloucestershire so went down the M4 and parked at Rayner's Lane tube - car park was empty when I got there. £2.50 to park all day and it's only a few stops from Wembley (Metropolitan line). Getting back was a piece of cake. Mmm cake. Walked straight onto the tube at Wembley...
I'm driving from Stroud so not that far west, but when going to that London I usually park at Windsor and get the train to Paddington, buying a ticket that includes tube and bus fares too. Having said that, I've parked at hillingdon tube before as it's only a few stops to Wembley.
Not close to Wembley as it's in the centre of London but it's only a relatively quick tube trip. It gets busy though, last time we went it was full at noon.
Which is the best off site parking these days? Does the little industrial site opposite the bus entrance to tesco on Longford Rd still open up for match days?
Eastern Green originally, now in Stroud, Gloucestershire , only a mile or so from Forest Green (hello Alkhen BTW!). There's a few down here that I know and my lad came home from college today saying one of the lads on his course is City too. I know as many Cov fans down here in Glos as I do in Cov.
I live 5 minutes from Nailsworth. It's quite nice but not a lot to keep you there for long. There are some decent places to eat though, and there's always the potential danger of running over a cow if you're driving across Minchinhampton Common too. The New Lawn is a decent little ground too but...
