I've spent small pockets of each day since the semi final looking online desperately trying to get some closure on this subject, I had some pessimism before the game, thinking that we needed to win convincingly as tight calls would be given against us as it's "man united". But unfortunately...
In the last couple of days I've seen some absolutely laughable and cringe worthy comments in our feeds from Manchester united fan accounts, which I can presume from looking briefly at their pages as being located anywhere else in the world but Manchester.
It shows that united as a fanbase has...
60 seconds of disbelief, ecstasy and hugging/pulling and falling about with some people I've never met before. In my head we won 4-3 because I celebrated that 4th goal like no other.
Proud of us today, weird how your expectations change so quickly, especially during one game! "Yeh Im happy to be here", "yeh I'd be happy to get a goal", "yeah I'm glad we're putting up a fight", "hang on, if we score the next we win this!".
Feels a bit bitter sweet, and undeserving for them...
I'm still out in Birmingham having drinks with the Birmingham lot, most of their fans are decent and tbf are just thankful to have a chance at staying up. But what's unacceptable is how comfortable they were, if we show this much fight next week, we will struggle and it could be embarrassing.
The Birmingham crowd turn very easily, can't let them get into their stride with a sold out crowd, they have far more to lose that we do, pressure is in us, but waaaay more on them.
I'm going to the blues game, based on results tonight they will need a win against us and Cardiff (their next game) to get away from the pack, it won't be easy going there that for sure, stadium will be close to if not a sell out I expect.
