It’s a no brainer death penalty candidate.
The article even states the prison he’s in is for prisoners who ‘ideologies cannot be changed and are intent on inflicting harm’ - so what is the point of keeping them alive?
Probably going to be the tensest home game for a while.
We’re still days out and I feel nervous.
Got to hope the inevitable nervousness and tension in the stands translates to a good atmosphere backing the players, as they’re going to be feeling it too.
Not sure it’s on JDS. Their winger is pulled right out wide, if he is closer to him it leaves a massive gap between him and Kitching. LB don’t man mark RW.
The bigger issue is the high line.
The negativity and over the top emotional posts are genuinely mental.
That starting XI is more than capable of three points and the bench still has Bassette (paid money for), Paterson (experienced pro finding form), Allen (experienced pro) and Raphael (unknown, could be shit, could be good but...
Wright out left and Simms through the middle is a change a lot of fans wanted anyway.
Thomas is a big loss, but he’s also not entirely foolproof. He’s prone to errors and poor distribution, so let’s not escalate this to feel like we’ve lost prime Maldini. Lati is a step down, but he’s a solid...
He was very good with his feet on Wednesday, probably the best I’ve seen him play as a Sweeper Keeper. I know that isn’t the main role of a keeper, but it’s a requirement these days and I was impressed with that element.
Great to see him join in the celebrations when we scored too. Hopefully...
Surprised nobody has mentioned Sakamoto being dragged down at a corner. His shirt was nearly pulled off his back, it was so blatant.
And when their CB stopped MVE (I think) taking a quick throw by essentially nudging him over.
Side note; not advocating it, but has anyone seen any player booked for celebrating on the pitch despite being a sub at the time ie Palmer at Wolves.
Happens all the time, and it was great to see Sakamoto, Wright etc run over, but they weren’t penalised for it. Which is obviously good for us as...
Incredible ending.
Cannot wait to watch all the fall out and celebrations today.
You can tell how much that meant to him - and everyone. Love seeing the team spirit, camaraderie and togetherness.
Put this in the match thread - and this was pre Torp injury;
Got worse once Sheaf was on.
If we can find a way to make them play together it’s a very good footballing two, it’s early days of them playing together but Lampard doesn’t have long to find a way to make it work.
It might mean we...
