I agree. It's in stark contrast to the clandestine and distant relationship with the owners. Coupled with his statement about making the Ricoh more our own and his frank assessment of our performances on the pitch I really like the vision he seems to be setting out. Fingers crossed...
Mark Robins Letter
Just received this email. Robins continues to impress me. Absolutely agree with his sentiments and I hope we can build on the positivity seen at the Emirates over the rest of the season.
Dear G&P
I want to say a big thank you to everyone who supported us at the...
I went back to my local in Highbury for a beer last night. The landlord said they could hear the Coventry fans throughout the match from the pub. He was amazed - it's nearly a mile from the ground! :)
Good stuff mate. I'll be there from about 5.30. Will be the guy in last season's home shirt probably being ripped by the locals and bar staff. Look out for a sky blue balloon - one of my mates is celebrating 75 years as a Cov fan. That's the equivalent of three life sentences...
Absolutely. Good suggestion. The Compton is standard London prices I'm afraid, not cheap... £3.70 for a pint of Guinness and (I think) premium lagers. It's around the £3.50 mark for the ales. Don't shoot me if I'm wrong but I think that's about right.
The most convenient Weatherspoons I'd say...
The Compton Arms is my local - very good pub and it's where the CCFC London Supporters Club are meeting before the game. Also the Drayton Park by the ground is a good away fans pub
Agree with CTID - good thread with some great stories. My dad is from a small town in Co. Kerry, Ireland, but supported Tottenham when he was a kid as he loved western films and decided "Spurs" had to be his team. Everyone else in his town was a Man Utd fan. That was at the beginning of the...
Good draw. Always had a soft spot for the minstermen. Used to go and watch them occasionally when I lived in York. Won't be easy but we have to be optimistic. Will be a good day out anyway (more pubs per sq m in York than any other city aparently..)
Well if you change your mind I'll be the only bloke in The Compton Arms off Highbury Corner wearing a Cov shirt and probably the only one watching the telly too...:thinking about:
