Problem with 4-4-2 (Wright and Simms) in the PNE game is one of EMC-Torp-Grimes-Rudoni-Sakamoto has to come off. Can't be Grimes and Rudoni and EMC were subbed on. So it has to be Torp I'm thinking. I can understand why Lampard thinks we're more likely to score with Torp and the additional...
Like it or not we are being dragged back into the mix, but two home wins in the next three games will make a big difference I think. Can't see Middlesbrough or Milwall putting 5/6 back-to-back wins together.
If we can win the next two home games we’ll have 50 points at the halfway mark. That’s a realistic target and a brilliant result. Anything away vs Southampton a bonus, would happily take a draw. We really don’t need to be as good in the second half.
Agree we missed MVE - nothing against KKH buy MVE has been epic. Otherwise I think their goalie has kept them in it with a couple of brilliant saves. Rushowrth didn't have anything to do all game really.
Yeah their Goalie made a brilliant save from Wright, they got a soft equaliser, we just didn't quite get it together - but many would have taken a draw going in: win at home, draw away, we are set.
Ipswich looming. The two games are coming while both teams are in rollicking form. Charlton should be a walkover, they've collapsed, if we can just get out of that Ipswich away game with something - PNE/Bristol/Southhampton three really tough fixtures before Swansea at home, another side in poor...
We weren't poor. Middlesborough were really good except up front. Their xG 1.05, they got lucky to get a second in their best performance of the season. Our 40% possession, xG 1.4, but we could have had 7 again. PUSB.
