Interesting match up this one. Burnley just don't give goals away but we have Wright back and a menace they have not faced before and we have goals in us at home. What Burnley do not have are goals up front where they struggle much more. with Rudoni back we will be stronger. Not sure if I would...
There's a buzz in the air and a very real chance at the playoffs. I believe as always that if we are in the playoffs we will win it.
Burnley coming up will show an indication of where we are. We controlled much of the game at Sheffield so let's not make out the top 3 are on another level. I the...
Strange we had almost 60/40 in our favour possession stats. But it's what you do with it that counts.
The game turned from a good start by us after a former player hit a world class free kick. Up to that point we were getting a foothold in the game.
Selection headache for Frank now. Allen just...
We have had plenty of ball but done nothing with it. On tonights performance Sheff.Utd have been superior in all departments.
I suppose we will see a different performance v Burnley and end up doing Sheff.Utd a big favour twice!
We have not managed to get Wright on the ball. There's been plenty of retention of the ball but Kitching looks a big miss and Allen floundering around achieving nothing. There is a sense of get one back and it becomes game on but Sheff Utd don't look like they want to sit on their lead, which...
Just a late thought. They have an issue at right back. A bit like we have often had when MVE is injured. Then they target that area. They have that problem and if we get EMC or even Wright attacking that side we will be a huge problem for them.
If we replicate how we played against Sunderland, we win. I doubt we will have that about us away from home. Surely the message from Frank here is 'Don't lose'? Utd are under huge pressure and cracks have been appearing and they have managed to produce a win when not playing well. We must get at...
Looking at the fixtures, we can afford to lose one of Burnley or Sheff utd. Think Middlesboro' are the team that might sneak it based on them WBrom and Bristol fixtures. Think we will get 15 points without too much trouble unless we fall apart. That's around the 74 point mark and should be good...
On yesterday's performance we saw what has been missing in our team. Having someone who can put the ball away like him and threaten so much throughout 90 minutes is the major difference in the WDL column. What a time to have him back at the tail end of our push for a playoff spot.
I can only recall one incident where we were left badly exposed by DaSilva and Kitching in the first half. Grimes had a real good go at them for it for about 2 minutes afterwards. He has to be captain. He does the stuff that gives the team time and knits everythink together.
Standouts have to...
So far so good. Old cliche but next goal is the most important. Can we keep this pace up?
Changes on 60 will be very telling. 3 nil and it’s over.
