Sheaf looked totally outpaced on the break when tracking back. Wright does track back well (much better defensively than EMC IMO) but him having to drop deep does limit our own break options.
Keep with me on this
The solution might be Bidwell, who doesn’t get forward as much as JDS, maybe...
He struck me as the type of player that needed to play off of a target man. The find-space-and-finish type of Garry Bannister player.
Also, if there was ever a player that would have benefitted from competitive reserve fixtures to get some kind of match sharpness……
The right thing to have done was to take him to the side and have a one to one, man to man chat with him.
It was a bully move. Deeney thinks he’s a bloke few would want to square up to and plays on it.
Fanky was a guy whose career was on the up and then got injured badly. He came back too quick maybe and then missed the most important pen in CCFC history.
Next minute, he finds himself at the bottom club in the league and is being ridiculed in the press by a big thug.
Talk about kicking a...
“Of his standing?”
IIRC he couldn’t feel his feet when standing up.
We actually gave wages to a player who could hardly stand up.
And we moan now?
As I say to the kids: “don’t know how lucky you are”.
Sound like my dad.
Dovin 7
Good saves and some better distribution. Choices with short passes to defenders far too deep invited unnecessary pressure at times. Maybe should have caught their goal. Maybe.
MVE 7
Just scraped a 7 due to done decent throws but not at his best.

All over the show. Own goal...
In recent times Todd “should be in the Prem” Kane takes some beating.
Arrived with high expectations, scored a fluke and then annoyed the rest of the squad.
(what was it that he did to “be lucky to get out alive”, anyone know?)
Eoin Jess.
Over £2m in the mid 90’s for a highly rated full Scottish international.
This was a time when the gulf between Scottish football and English football was less and Aberdeen were a top Scottish club (runners up at the time I think) playing European football.
Was expecting the next...
Having had the day to reflect we were lucky to win that.
On a positive note, getting EMC and Haji back for the run in, with Sims playing as a target man (and he has improved of late) and Grimes pulling the strings I think there’s a good chance of sneaking the play offs.
Yes but he put their big lunk of a defender in his place. Gets a plus one. Fed up of our players getting bullied and none of them having the minerals to stand up.
