After the London Bridge attack Theresa May said “Enough is enough.” So what has she been doing to address the problem of Islamic extremism?
First of all, Theresa May announced that terrorists could expect to face tougher prison sentences. She seems to think that suicidal attacks are going to be prevented by threatening a longer prison sentence. Which planet does she live on?
Next, the government announced that ISIS fighters with UK passports would be allowed back into the country with no questions asked. Great idea – what could possibly go wrong?
Today, it has been revealed that 20,000 terror suspects including jihadis returning from fighting in Syria are to be offered taxpayer-funded homes, counselling and help finding jobs.

What should be done to combat Islamic extermism?
1. Recognize the source of the problem; i.e., the extremist views are inspired by the holy texts of Islam.
2. Put an end to all faith schools. Religion is the antithesis of education and science.
3. Islamic extremism is largely funded by Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Qatar. We need to impose sanctions on these countries and stop their flow of funds to extremist groups.
4. Last year, more than 100 speakers were invited by Islamic student societies to preach their extremist views on university campuses (source: Henry Jackson Society). At all but one of the events, no one was invited to offer an alternative narrative. The government should be doing a lot more to counter the spread of radicalization.
5. We need to check the backgrounds of migrants and asylum seekers who are looking to come to the UK. We should ask them questions and the honesty of their answers should be checked using polygraph tests. For example, do they believe that: 1) apostates should be murdered, 2) homosexuals should be incarcerated or murdered, 3) women should have fewer rights than men?
6. In the UK, 3,000 individuals are known by MI5 to be active supporters of Islamic terror and they are under 24/7 watch by MI5 agents. There are an additional 20,000 people whom MI5 have classified as terror suspects. How do we address this problem? Those with dual citizenships should have their UK citizenships removed and should be deported to their other country. An exception can be made for any who agree to cease and desist in their support of extremism and who agree to co-operate with MI5.
