Embarrassing things you forgot.... (1 Viewer)

Was talking to a mate the other day about Kasper Schmeichel, he said “Played for you a couple of times didn’t he”, I said “No mate, not us”...

Googled it and low and behold, he was right. I must have been at all Schemichels appearances for us and pretty much just blame it on me ageing...

Anything Cov related you’ve embarrassingly forgot in the past ?

Still, that's not technically a fail, is it???

So you don't have the 4-1 at Charlton seared into your memory????

I once set my Sat Nav to HR as usual. It was only when I was going through Ball Hill that I remembered that we had been playing at the Ricoh for a few months. I didn't even have the excuse of not going there before.

Years ago my dad drove us home from The Home Guard Club in Leamington, someone asked him to turn the radio on, and it wasn't there. Unbelievably our car keys had fitted an almost identical car and we were nearly back in Cubbington before we noticed. Returned and found the owner drinking in a club nearby (think it might have been the old Telecomms club?) Late 1970s. Our car was parked about 4 vehicles from his.

When we win I think we're world beaters. I forget we are playing in a pub league

We're playing in a professional league.

We are at this level because we deserve to be, we're not a top division team and haven't been for some time. Since the football league was formed 129 years ago, we have spent 95 years outside of the top flight. Let's have a bit of perspective instead of constantly whining about what level we are eh?

I completely forgot to go to a good friends wedding the other month. Felt like a right lemon.

CCFC related: Not much, Wembley renewed a few good memories that were on their way out, like being part of pretty much a full house. I suppose there's other stuff, but I've forgotten.

We are at this level because of the owners.

We only joined the football league 98 years ago so spent over a third of that in the top flight. Oh and by the way I'm so happy and grateful to be watching my team play in the fourth division. Also there's a lot of difference between deserve to be and allowed to be.

Correct! Not sure we had 2 relegations and 2 administrations/point deductions and on the bottom tier with the previous ones though. :emoji_thinking:

Lost my car once. Parked up and forgot where I'd left it. Spent about an hour looking for it...

I'm one of the guilty ones that keeps forgetting were not in the Prem anymore. I have this expectation from league 2 players that is just unreasonable... one player being able to both tackle and pass, or another who can both run and cross...

I forgot Haynes was on the pitch on Saturday. Was embarrassed at first, but then realised it was an easy mistake to make.

Going on the BBC Football website to find us by clicking League One. It's near mid November and I still forget that we're in this shit league.

No we don't deserve to be, not the fans, nor the club, it deserves a lot better! That just sounds like you've accepted what SISU have done to us like it was nothing!
