Dare I say it,but would not one of the alleged parties interested in buying the Club likely to have a say in the matter?

Regards.

It does seem very strange, try phoning up CWR up and asking for some air time because you are a bit of a gambler and want to buy the local sports club.

Im guessing because it has been on the BBC this then gives the Telegraph leverage in reporting more of it.

Has anyone from the BBC commented on what has happened?

Edit- seems like Oucho has beat me to it.

To be fair to CWR its a phone in show and they let any idiot on. Clive did ask him where his money had come from etc and his answers were vaguely plausible. But of course as soon as you put yourself up on the radio people will start digging and it very quickly became clear a lot of what he said was BS.

To be fair to all the media, it’s clearly a news story whether it’s true or not. The length of this thread proves that. I do find it slightly funny that there’s loads of people clicking on every story then complaining about papers writing crap for clicks.

Surely if it was a news story it would be validated and checked? If it was an interview he would have been quizzed when they spoke to him?

Not sure what century you’re in where you expect investigative journalism for free.

If it gets people to click on it, it’s news. Don’t think it’s news? Don’t click on it. That’s the business model. If people want proper journalism they need to read that. Considering what the top selling papers are in this country, I wouldn’t hold my breath.

BTW, don’t get me wrong. It’s shitty journalism, but we live in a capitalist society and if it don’t get paid it don’t get made.

Really not convinced it is a news story... as there's little basis. Even Hoffman, who's previously not been averse to using the media to create pressure, appears been to try and shut the story down.

Even if accepting it is worthy of (continued!) media attention, it appears to be using someone for salacious voyeurism rather than pointing him towards the help he maybe needs.

I get the point they're not alone in this, but that doesn' make it news.

It makes it My Weekly.

I didn’t say it was moral, I said it was driving clicks and that’s the business.

I'm not sure it is investigative journalism. They have spoken to him and interviewed him but just copied and pasted everything he said rather than pointed out any glaring errors.

The issue is that it quite clearly isn't news but is being dragged on and misleading people. It is about 3 or 4 days behind it actually happened for starters, then if you read the article without seeing a thread like this there's nothing really to say he's chatting shit.

If it takes an investigator to say to him "ay up mate, you said this before and it didnt happen". "you said you dont use your name for betting as you have a username, but on your screenshot you have posted as proof your username is your name".

If people don't see things like this thread, it's no wonder people believe it and get their hopes up.

Surely if Wasps go under and the lease reverted back to the Council, it would then go up for sale on the open market. As Sisu have already defaulted on the lease then I can not see the Council willing to have them as tenants again.

Regards.

Hmm. Wonder why the council didn't sell it on the open market last time then?

Regardless, there are hardly likely to be a large amount of takers for a purpose-built 32,000 stadium with no long term tenant. Unless perhaps we can attract another 'nomadic' rugby club from London.

Hey, maybe we can sell it to Saracens for a tenner if Wasps fold up, they've been out as far as Watford so are practically in Cov anyway. Anything has to be better than the club getting it, eh...

Nice to see he is following Gary Hoffman's advice and not posting anymore messages about takeovers.

And with all the money he's got you would think he would be able to pay someone to help him word that better.

Did he type that all up with the computer equivalent of a crayon?

Sounds like he is planning an exit strategy. Seriously though would we like someone like him in charge in any capacity?

He can do one. Imagine that twat in charge. Big headed git will start thinking he's manager. If hoff is serious he needs to distance himself from this clown at all costs

I thought all ccfc fans were meant to be a family but some fans chose to listen to banter and act on that against one if their own. Do you think these desperate comments from the dregs of my passed would deter me?

Yes, because we are all "family" we should blindly believe your bullshit even though you contradict yourself repeatedly.

Do you all want me to walk away and leave sisu in charge because of what someone from my past is claiming and you've jumped to listen too? Me and my family do not deserve this so if everyone is not on board say now and I'll walk away taking all those close to me away from the whole firing line!

What the actual fuck is he on? Did he get pissed up and dream something that we have all missed?

People can dig all they want, what do you think you will achieve?

Hopefully stopping the shrinking number of people believing anything you say from getting their hopes up every time you decide you want a bit of attention.
