Don't get the rave stuff about their team and style of play. Very much revolved around.rhead, players throwing elbows and being direct. When rhead went off they had nothing at all, so had to bring another big bloke on to go direct to.

Their other striker was awful.

They were lucky to get through the match with 11 players on the pitch, that elbow into Biamou's face should have been a straight red

Yeah, their player wasn't near him and made a point of putting his arm right out to catch him.

Don't get the love for them because they are brothers, it was like boothroyd and westley had teamed up.

The one on burge was very late as well. Was hoping somebody would have gone through rhead and told him after. I think mcdonald did floor him at one point

The car park was shit though, took about the same to get out as it did to get home.
Was that the South common one by the island? We were in there as well and turned back to the chippy when we seen the bottle neck.

Best team I’ve seen down the Bank this season,The 2nd half you blew us away and really showed how good you are ! The lad Jones could certainly play at a higher level but I would say you have a couple of gems in your squad especially the left back.I wish you all the best for the season (hope you win it) and more importantly as a club I remember my cousins who lived in Coventry taking me to Highfield Road as a kid a proper old school ground..Good luck

Fair play to you and your comments. Me and the lad said yesterday was one of our best away days for a day out and experience. A tidy stadium that was very well populated by a good warm home support. Have to applaud your support.
Parking aside on the common it was a easy trip for traffic. Will definitely be back tho hopefully both in L1 for any future fixtures.

That’s football for you! Nearly every Lincoln fan after the game I spoke to and have commented on our Facebook page has praised your left back! Our return to league has been pretty good so far,We have settled in well and held our own against all the best teams in Division so far ! From our manager to our fans and bloggers this end Coventry City have been praised immensely ! I would imagine the reverse fixture will see a lot of Red Imps travel in great numbers !

I don't get the hatred for Haynes. Yes he's been error prone in his time here but plenty have. Yesterday he was excellent, shown composure and matched up against a direct side.

I thought he coped with the 1 v 2 situation in the second half excellent, didn't panic or do anything rash and slowed there counter down till help arrived and Lincoln fluffed the attack.

Gotta be honest I'm not his biggest fan by any stretch but I'm gonna defend him on this occasion. He was more solid than Jordan Willis was.

There’s no hatred but let’s be honest he’s been here longer than most (other then Willis) and is 90% of the time useless

He was also on the evidence of the highlights culpable for the cross that led to the goal with a typical inneffective attempt st tackling which means he’s been at fault two games is a row!

Yes he was better than Willis yesterday and good for him. Both very average players who have found there level at last.

I've actually just watched the extended highlights back, maybe Haynes could of done better in the initial attack but Doyle was the man who let the cross come in. Unfortunately crosses into the box are part and parcel of the game. Which is where we look at Jordan Willis now....

Jordan Willis was ball watching again and let's Matt Rhead drop off him to have a free tap in. Now he did this too at Cambridge with Ibahre to have a free header. Yet Willis falls into the liked bracket so things are allowed to go where as Haynes is in the shit bracket so errors are highlighted brighter than his hair.

why does everyone hate Haynes? Yes he makes the odd mistake but he is playing league 2 football and there's no way you can blame him for the goal yesterday. Very good going forward and improving defensively. One of the best left backs in the league definately

I was too scared to bump my Willis ball watching thread after yesterday, a few people got a in a right huff about it :) I do find it weird how a thread like that gets so many backs up but it's always open season on Biamou, Haynes, Vincenti, Beavon, McNulty and no-one bats an eyelid!

We do have players who are the boo boys favourite targets yet others can make mistakes and it's let slide as they are favoured.

I don't get how Haynes can be singled out for being part of the process for the cross being allowed into the box yet Willis escapes any form of criticism.
Even Willis body language after Rhead scores says he's unhappy that he's allowed his man to escape him to score a tap in. The players response to those around them to a goal conceded is generally key to portioning blame.

Still I'm sure every clubs the same tho with boo boys...

Grendel, are you commenting on your own performance as a poster? I don't hate you, but I do find that your posts are 90% useless

Which is fine as 100% of your posts are so forgettable I can’t recall a single one of them

I know its all about opinions and I try not to comment on games I haven't seen live but when I have seen Haynes for me he has been our best player in most of those games.
I am sure at some stage he will be a midfielder/winger.
I read on here that some think Jones is the best player in this league. I have yet to him play well and for all his twisting and turning I haven't seen any end product at all. As I said its all about opinions.

Stats and facts have more weight behind them than opinions though.

I'll be going with the goals and assists stats than a 'reckon' by someone.

I think if you drive all the way up to the door of the stadium and are then surprised that it's a nightmare to get out afterwards, you'll spend most of your life being surprised.

He's not a left back! Why can't we push him forward and watch him terrorise defences??

To be honest you'd have a better opinion of Lincoln away if you'd sat at home and streamed it on a VPN. League Two is awful for giving you any half decent view of what the hell is going on. Luton exactly the same.

This business of having to go to the game to be entitled to an opinion isn't strictly true - not with iFollow anyway.

I prefer to go with the 'reckon' of someone who goes to games and when I do go I make my own opinion formed by what I am seeing in the flesh

Yeah it wasn't as if it was at the ground, it wasn't as if it was just normal traffic either. It just didn't move at all for a good 40 minutes.

I can park closer to the Ricoh and be away straight away with bigger crowds.

Crazy I left the ground on the ft whistle and was out the car park by 5:10pm not bad considering 6 mins of injury time.
