I'm off to Gainsborough, 20 minutes' train ride from Lincoln. Going to the market, the pubs, the old Tudor hall....looking forward to a day out of the big smoke!!

Missus at work, kids out and about, bit of housework, bit of lazing about, pub around 4.30 then over to Brum to see Gorillaz. And guaranteed no shit result to put a dampener on it!

Running for Godiva in the Birmingham League Cross-Country in Stoke on Trent. Pissing it down on the way up the M6 at the moment. Also racing tomorrow in Shropshire, so Monday will be a write-off...

good luck!!

Decorating. Or to be more precise pretending I’m waiting for filler to dry so I can rub it down and then start painting. Sitting in front of the fireplace is much more preferable and fortunately the wife is clueless when it comes to decorating and has no idea that I could have started sanding a couple of hours ago. Sshhhh.

I'm sorting out stuff for my stay in hospital. Going in on Wednesday. Not sure how long I'll be in for (or if I even get out!) :emoji_coffin:

Thank you. Was tough this afternooon, we are in Div1 of the B'ham league, and it is arguably the strongest league in the country. A lot of local teams in the top division.... Godiva, Kenilworth, Leamington, Warwick Uni... and then some top clubs like Tipton, Wolves & Bilston, City of Stoke, Birchfield, Loughborough...

Was a hilly course so suited me and I beat a few guys who I would not get close to on a flatter and faster course. Cold, wet, muddy,,typical cross country. Tomorrow more my style, a fell-race in the Shropshire Hills.

You win. What have you got?
Staffy puppy, 12 weeks old today.

Got her from the RSPCA where they had taken her Mother in two weeks before she was due to give birth.

Possible top 50 tomorrow but after today's exertions I'll be happy, with just a pb.

Oh we won't win the cross country. I think 6th last year (of 16 teams). Loughborough seem to be perennial winners, I don't know what they're feeding them over there. Warwick Uni are a dark horse this year, came up from the second division and look like they'll be the top team from Cov/Warks area. Godiva clearly the top team in Cov, but some stiff competition from the Warks teams this year.

Got the Christmas tree in the am, managed to watch plenty of the Cricket and RL.
Followed Cov RFC game on twitter whilst pottering at home & did big shop at Tesco this afternoon!
Won't be a Saturday that'll be in my autobiography!

What's up, Houch? Heart?
Thankfully, no, Mate. Having a total knee replacement, but due to my heart problems they are keeping a bed ready on the Critical Care Unit. The surgeon told me that the one thing (among others) that he was concerned about was infection setting in and internal bleeding. He gave me shitty odds against what the normal odds are. Ah well, I supposed he had to tell me. They normally get people back home in three days but they want me in for 5 - 7 days. I won't be on here for at least a week or so, but obviously, if all goes well, I'll be back to my chirpy little self!
