Have asked if he means 2 NEW signings or 2 players signing new contracts, it reads as NEW players though.

Getting this on them, embedded tweets usually show fine for me

2 tweets from Shaun Reynolds @95_reynolds: Sports Editor & Sub-Editor of Coventry, Leamington, Solihull & Rugby Observers. Part-time photographer. Horses, dogs, bikes & the great outdoors!

Word for word:
1) Mark Robins confirms two players are very close to agreeing a deal with #CCFC. Tight lipped when asked what position they play. #PUSB.

2) He adds whatever comes in must move out to balance books though.

Yeah he's confirmed it now. Plus then the other one about players need to go out to free up cash.

Will be interesting who (and how) he managed to offload.

Can't be, we have no bus or academy kit and can't even afford the kit man's digs.

We're potless.

Surely if Robins is already in talks with players and they are close to signing, he already has an idea on who's going out?

It would be random to make all the arrangements now with players if he didn't know.

Exciting to read this, let’s hope they don’t keep us waiting for too long to reveal who are they are.

As Nick said it would also imply he knows who is going, so credit where it is due, they have obviously been working hard behind the scenes.

Even if one of those leaving is one of our better players or a youngster with potential, I’d accept that if it strengthened our chance of promotion at the first time of asking. Ideally it’d be Willis - recently signed a new contract so will demand a higher fee and we have more than enough cover at CB.

I'd guess at Willis being sold for 300k to a Wigan/Blackburn and Beavon having his contract cancelled by mutual consent with a lower L2 team lined up to sign him.

talk about not give the guy a chance. he hasn't played one game for us in his actual position !

He played on the right for Rochdale.

Enitrely speculation but I wonder if Ponticelli could be off to PL/Champ U23s? Only played 20 minutes in the last 5 games and surprisingly not used at all against Boreham Wood even at 3-0. If my job was on the line over promotion this season and could move him on for a few hundred thousand + add ons without weakening my core squad I can see that being tempting.
I'm not saying we should sell him, before all the fanboys round on me!

Can't see any club paying anything like a few hundred thousand for him.

Only chance is for a very small sum but lots of add ons.

Ponticelli clearly has talent, but it's raw talent. He hasn't shown enough this season to warrant a transfer fee of a few hundred thousand. I think if any bid were to come in, the upfront fee would be minimal as the only real impact he's had this season is against lesser sides.

I appreciate he's not the finished article by a long way but the quantity of U18 goals he was scoring was reportedly garnering national attention and 250k for say a Stoke City, West brom, Huddersfield etc to dump him in their developmental side for a couple of seasons is nothing if they feel they can improve on the areas where he is still raw when he has that natural goalscoring ability. Had Cian Harries shown enough for Swansea to pay a fee for him?
