How much has this boy grown in his time in the 1st team, immense talent.

Can we get him to sign a new deal? So much bargaining power he and his representatives have to get him a good deal.

I fear he may we'll be picked up quickly this January by a stockpiling big club.

So who among our previous stars or young prem players who made it does he stand comparison with?

In terms of taking a touch and making space he looks more like Maddison, but then he drives forward more than I can remember Maddison. He will get the ball to feet, turn and can easily take 2 players out of the game.

Other thing is he has aggression as well, which Maddison didn't have so watching him you can't tell he is a youngster as he wont get bullied.

Not that it really matters, but just found out he's from Leicester.

Best thing for him is to stay until the summer and then earn a big money move.

Could be the difference between them being interested and not interested.

I'd love to see Bayliss here next season. The maturity he shows on the pitch for an 18 year old is a pleasure to watch. Fingers crossed we don't make the same mistake as we did with G. Thomas by negotiating his contract extension when it's already expired...

Bayliss will have someone in his ear saying "stay and develop playing mens football" and someone else saying "take the cash and set yourself up for life."
As a young boy you hope that his family and advisers are looking after his best interests, whatever they are.

Thing that worries me is although he's been with the club since he was 12 he's a Leicester boy and I'd imagine he's a Leicester fan.

And we all know what happened with the last one of them we had.

Doubt it will happen but if we did go up I’d love him to stay with the club and think I play another level higher next season and possibly get to the championship the year after playing here, same goes for Willis.

Bayliss could give us 2-3 season learn his job let his body develop and still be 21 but have 100 odd games under his belt.

The romantic in me also hopes one day a group of lads would get together and say this is our club we are all good enough to get the top lets stick together and do it together.

His agent has a good reputation compared to many in the game. Hopefully he'll get good advice. The sensible thing is to stay in what will hopefully be a promotion campaign then look at options in the summer

If he keeps progressing as he has done he will soon get a big money deal

I would say his only apparent weakness is some of his passes go astray but everybody in football does that but he is great and to outshine a Stoke midfield is something quite special

Sensible for who? Taking my Sky Blue hat off I would be pushed to make a 4th division argument as better for his development.
That said I hope he stays until we are up.

For the lad
The text book case for how to treat a young prospect is Dele Alli. His agent talked to all the Premier League clubs who were interested then did a deal with the team (Spurs) who were prepared to leave him as part of a League 1 promotion season before giving him a chance next pre season

It did Nick Powell the world of good to make an early big move. Harry Kane honed his skills playing in lower divisions. Going and sitting in a PL team's u23 side is a regressive move.

It's your opinion! It's the decision of team Bayliss that matters and hopefully they concur with you.

Each case is very different, some younger players step up without issue or get hindered by an upward move early in a career. Some need time to adjust to the club, expectation, surroundings and the lifestyle the contract brings. As for Bayliss he is already on lists of Premiership and Championship recruitment officers desks and it will only be a matter of time before they come knocking on the players/agents door, if they already haven't.

He may be another one most just have to enjoy while it lasts.

Gonna cost a few quid more to get him to sign a deal that 8 weeks ago.

Big sides looking and could all so easily be tempted to make the jump for a handsome wage for such a young man to develop his game albeit at youth level still

Larry Ginaker did too

I just hope he has a better advisor than a few other youngsters which have come and gone. But money talks in football, his beat bet would be to stay and develop, very good prospect but not the finished article and needs games under his belt.
