Thank good your not the manager.
The funny thing is you are moaning about people being negative on here,.I doubt many would play 2 dms while losing to fgr or want to see out a draw at colchester when we should be going in for the kill and all 3 points.

That's negative.

You say that as if it's only today we bother to attack in the second half when losing and haven't multiple times. We have had 2 defensive midfielders sitting on defenders toes still when losing in the league for 20 minutes.

It isn't just about today is it?

It is frustrating I don’t deny that. But the talent is there. The ability is there. We have won 19 games this season in league and fa cup. We are not far off getting back on track.

The first half today we were still better than we were at any point vs FGR and Accrington.we had more shots , one hit crossbar. On another day we could have scored easily 2/3/4 goals today. And I tell you something if we scored a second today with 5 mins remaining . Cat would have been well amongst the pigeons.

I wasn't there today so can not comment on how well we played but I'll make a general point.
Against a team that far above us you expect to be outclassed but you don't expect to be outfought. It didn't sound to me that there was enough fight until late on, but I'm happy to be corrected by anyone who saw the game

We have lost 4 games in a row if you are including cup, I can't see how you could get any further off track with a promotion push?

It shouldn't take for us being behind to start trying to score goals, we should be doing it from the off.

It wasn't so much the fight, we just didn't want to attack. We gave them far too much space down their wings and they should have been about 5 up by half time.

When we got it in their half we just wanted to give it back to burge, we played like we were defending a lead trying to see the game out.

Why? Don't you think we need to change anything then?

Our away form is very poor. We need to pick up points away from home and that is very clear. We seem to set out for a draw and end up losing.

Just facts.. Again

I admire your optimism, but something is going to need to change the way we setup the team if we want to make the play offs.

We don't have a game plan, we don't have a system all the players play to.

Some of the pundits today were mirroring what the "negative" people on here have been saying for weeks.

That is clear unfortunately. We now also need to tighten the defence again too. That's 2 goals conceded in each of our last 3 matches.

It needs a shakeup to get us back on track.

FA Cup is over for this season and a was a nice distraction.

Now Robins needs to concentrate on getting this team back to winning ways. With today's game that's 4 games on a trot we have lost.

Robins needs to think very carefully about the tactcis and formations to get the best out of some average players. We have some good ones.

Failure to get out of L2 this year will be a major blow.

That winning mentality needs to return double time.
Think carefully ha! the bloke hasn’t got a fuckin clue

Was you at the game then Nick or watching live etc? Sounds like you were watching live from your pundit remarks etc. I wouldn’t take much notice of them pundits rattling in my ear usually, but against Brighton if they were saying we were negative they were spot in(for a change).

Watched it on tv :(

Yep, they questioned what our plan was, why we were so negative and sat back too deep, why if we had a throw in in their half it ended up with burge and then when we did start attacking why didn't we bother sooner and wait to be losing 3-0.

Exactly the same as many league games

It was pundits on multiple channels / radio as well

Right, I guess the thinking was if we try and attack too much it could be an avalanche but that plan went out of the window with the early goal.
Time to move on and try and impose ourselves on teams in the League now from the off.

Disagree nick, I think we were simply outclassed in every department. There was little robins could have done to turn that game on it’s head. We looked very nervous which resulted in too many misplaced passes but credit where credit is due, they played some good football and carved us open many a time

If by fight, do you mean did we kick them and give away free kicks - then, only occasionally. If you mean did the players give 100% then (in the main), I would say yes) with the exception of Barratt who looked out of his depth, Brighton kept the ball well (used the width of the pitch effectively, with full backs supporting the wingers) and hopefully we/MR learned some useful lessons.

A few arrests yesterday also, police pulled out a few young lads who had flares. They probably wasted about 50 pints throwing it over each other also...

There were a few lads behind us hurling abuse at everyone and everything. Comments about all of the stewards being black and what did you expect they probably arnt legal. Then hurling abuse at Burge for letting goals in and calling their midfielder a German bastard then he sets up their second.

We certainly have our fair share of morons.
