Missing Biamou

Yes his goals and assists totalled 5 and 3 respectively in a lower league last season

It’s exactly what we need.

I haven’t got his selfie count but I gather he tops that statistic

Come on G, even you must admit a) that he improved markedly as the season progressed and b) he may make a useful foil for Chaplin.

No I really don’t. It’s the lee Burge school of improvement - set the bar horrifically low.

He was never going to be good enough for league one

3 assists in a team where s striker scored nearly 30 goals

I was in the covered end with my wife and 2 young lads and was surrounded by some right morons trying to fight with the Rovers fans and even with some of our own fans. These guys look like they're 55+ and should all grow up or get out of the club. I had to leave early because I don't want my 10 year old subjected to someone shouting 'you f***ing c**t at other supporters. What an embarrassment to the city.
Completely sympathise mate. We have some truly moronic fans.I don’t go to many away matches but went to Walsall a couple of years ago and had the same experience.I fear it’s a society problem not just CCFC

We do have a lot of decent fans who travel, too (I've travelled /do travel with a lot of them). Certain games seem to attract numpties, although I accept that a handful of idiots travel regularly too (very much in the minority, but if they spoil your day then I can understand why it is upsetting).

Just seen the goals , first one is comical defending , second Burge either come and clear everything out Or stay on your line , third I’d say he hit it well but Burge got something on it so should of kept it out ( I’m not a Burge hater like a lot on here btw ) but it would appear the keeper hasn’t done himself any favours today

We spent well and recruited fairly well by all accounts, so we ought to be at least mid table.

Just random.

We signed sterling who clearly is struggling
Brown - who we paid a good salary - is no better than Stokes defensively and Mason the second choice looks better
Ogogo is so good an unfit Kelly and a 37 year old is considered better
Bakayoko, hiwula - seriously!
Chaplin is early days
Thomas no end product at all

None of CCFC's 'strikers' have a prolific goal-scoring record.
Biamou, JCH, Hiwula, Bakayoko and even Chaplin all have about equally bad scoring records over the past few seasons.
It's a case of who do you think has the raw material to become an effective striker.

Was this any better or worse than what Slade's team did in the same fixture?
Way better than the Slade fixture season before last. It was a mad 15-20 mins of defensive/goalkeeping errors where we lost today. At various times we out-played them but our strikers seemed a bit lightweight against a big team. Slade's fixture was just a disaster from beginning to end in my view. Even a Rovers fan went on Instagram earlier and said today's result was harsh on us.

Well my old buddy who is a ST at the Mem said that we should have scored early but didn't and they got a bit lucky. He said our number 10 looked a class apart and our number 18 was a bit of a bully. Other than that he was amazed we didn't have more of a go in the second half.......... which correlates with many saying Robins keeps setting up to negative ?!

Sadly, I think you are probably right. Really can't wait until Mason is back.

Lolz. You were praising him last week. Your 4 nil prediction also aged well.
I like to give the benefit of the doubt...he had a half decent game last week. But in all honestly he's a bit amongst men.

Yup...if we play them again back us to win 4 nil...that 15 min period killed us.

That's something, but the commonality is missing hordes of gilt-edged chances. Just disappointing that Robins shows so much inflexibility when situations change.

Just so wrong that u can totally dominate then give away the shortest goal and lose ya heads

Lets hope robin's sorts it like he did after Lincoln loss late last season

Football...Its a funny old game. Be cool, we haven't clicked yet and when we do we'll be fine.

I was surrounded by complete arseholes for the first 45. The entire group were awful but two high(low)lights were There was some ratty 16-18 year old at the end of the row who’d had his first beer and every other word was c*** and the guy behind me didn’t accept football, just wanted us to kick it forward at all times. I was so much more frustrated with them than the city players and could happily have left. I moved forward about six rows and leant on the barrier and had some top blokes behind me that restored my faith in City fans after the first half. Equally frustrated as I was, they made light and good humour of it at times and also offered more intelligent commentary than ‘GET IT FORWARD!’

We seem to have more twats (probably just because they’re vocal) than decent fans but there are some proper good ladies and gents who do go

now people are starting to see why I said we need a target man weeks ago...

Chaplin & a target man Is the way we need to go Jayden Stockley type of player.2 Year contract for JCH & 3 year one for Biamou is rediculous.Signing Baka & Hiwula waste of money we could of spent On a proper striker who can actually play. Some of the summer recruitment was odd.

Always your best players it’s not rocket science, Tom Davies is our best centre back by a distance sounds to me we were undone by a bit of roote one stuff they had obviously done their homework.

This is true. But the issue here was we gifted the first goal against all run of play to a team devoid of confidence and looking like they were going to roll over. That goal raised them a little but when we gifted another shortly after they were now lifting their heads and raising their shoulders adding a competitive edge to the game. We failed to capitalise on the early chances we had and should have scored from, which would have buried them. We now got sloppy on the ball all over the place. Players must have been wondering where their A game had gone. One of those days when you consistently under hit a pass, the bounce falls kindly to opposition and the wet conditions compound the effects that seemed like a catching disease from one player to the next. As this went on and the hoof balls kept coming in we somehow contrived to give them another goal as we wobbled around in our own penalty box. So we had a mare as a team and even a good goal from Chaplin was ruled offside. Some players pulled it together more some didn't. But it was all too late and gutless. Headless chickens like Thomas, running with no end product, JCH lumbering and lacking energy. Sterling completely all over the place are just some of the days issues. The only ones with some credit would be Chaplin and Doyle who both dug in and stuck to their task. Bayliss was a huge miss so I worry we have not got cover for him. We need Jodi Jones back sooner rather than later. But the day was about the application of the players and they failed to turn up after we went behind. The question is why?
