Can anybody bring themselves to do it?

Burge, what was he smoking before today. Shipley off the pace.

Kelly was a shining light, Bakayoko did quite well up front. Sterling battled well and looked decent.

Ogogo was chasing shadows from the moment he came on.

Really disappointed with Ogogo, he's off the pace all the time and is really rash

Their subs compared to our subs.... Can we mention that?

I know it was individual mistakes that cost us, Robins should really have a look at decisions during that game.

Decision making from every single player was dreadful. Burge going walkabout all day, final passes and shooting dreadful. Ogogo, just... what's the point!?!

The likes of McNulty and Arma are warming the bench week in week out and we couldn't score consistently if our lives de0ended on it. For all the chances we had today we could of played another 90mins and wouldn't of scored. When JCH went through it was harder to miss, all he had to do was just get it on fucking target.
I know we have the usual love ins with certain players on here but if we go through and spend £500k on Chaplin in January instead of looking elsewhere then the season is over. We'll do nothing better than mid table.

Did you see the game? CC4L are equally bad but he tries to be controversial so I ignore his. Some of those are miles off. Bayliss was ghosting past players and needed help from ref. Booking him after the way him and Thomas chopped down a joke but then the ref was fkn awful. Burge made an outstanding stop just before his error too so can't give 4 for that. Giving Brown the same as the rest of the defence no way. He was dreadful and had the distribution prowess of a two year old yet again. I'd have him nowhere near the team. And Kelly worth at least a 7 for the effort and miles covered. All ino of course but seems we watched a different game if you did go.

Inept finishing poor tactical nouse from Robins and a shit ref.

Really was a performance of two halves. When are we going to come out 2nd half and believe in ourselves. The tactics are the managers responsibility yet he believes from the radio we we good for a win. Well 2nd half we were piss poor yet again.
Anyway
Burge 6 went walkabout 3 times got booked, cost us a goal but also pulled off a brilliant save a couple if minutes before the goal.

OK I've calmed down a bit:

Burge - 4 - made a great save, but at times was all over the place. Gifted them a goal at a critical point in the game. Lets hope he gets over it quickly.
Sterling 7 - did pretty well in his first match for a while
Willis 6 - still limping, so not fully fit. In spite of this, he looked solid alongside Davies
Davies 7 - looked sound
Brown 6 - did well to recover from the odd mistake
Kelly 7 - would have been an 8 if he hadn't played so deep in 2nd half
Bayliss 7 - really not sure why he was replaced with Ogogo?
Thomas 7 - he was a threat - should have scored a second,, so dropped a point
Shipley 5 - anonymous in 2nd half, but otherwise a solid enough return to the side
Bakayoko 7 - was involved in a lot of moves upfront
Chaplin 3 - not involved very much at all and did not gel with other players. His form seems to be going backwards

JCH 5 - dropped a point for his missed goal. He just doesn't seem to be able to execute his shots properly on far too many occasions
Ogogo 4 - not very effective. Unlucky, but naive, with the penalty. That's what can happen when a defender appears to put his arms round an attacker in the area.

Burge 5 - Terrible decision to come out for the ball for both his booking and the first goal. Incredible save just before the goal though. Hope it doesn't dent his confidence too much because he's been very good this season.
Sterling 6 - Looked ropey for the first 10 minutes but grew into the game. Was very much a first game back after injury. Got very lucky that the ref missed him bringing Cook down.
Willis 6 - Still doesn't look 100% fit to me and struggled with Cook.
Davies 6 - Did the ugly stuff well but gets into trouble when he's running towards his own goal.
Brown 6 - Got forward well 1st half but stopped the runs as Shipley tired.
Kelly 8 - Fitter than I expected. Controlled the game brilliantly first half and had a good all-round game.
Shipley 6 - 7 first half, 5 second. Faded very badly after about an hour and as he got tired his passing and decision making nosedived. Would have been the 2nd change for me around 70 mins.
Bayliss 6 - Didn't work for him today - tried a lot but it didn't come off. Had a lot more of the ball in dangerous areas though with Kelly behind him so I'm encouraged by that.
Thomas 7 - He's 10 out of 10 every week until he gets to the box and then he's 5 out of 10. Should have buried his 2nd chance and it came back to haunt us.
Baka 7 - Seemed to have licence to do want he wanted and played well but didn't spend enough time in the box. Couple of great crosses that I'd rather he was on the end of!
Chaplin 6 - Quiet game overall, a couple of times he got into great positions but the delivery to him was poor. Actually think JCH would have been better suited to the kind of game it was and the crosses we were getting in.

JCH 5 - He has to hit the target with his 1 on 1. Would have made the last 15 minutes enjoyable.
Ogogo 4 - not sure what is more shocking a) how dreadfully slow this guy is or b) how he though he was going to get away with a 2 handed shove in the back in the 93rd minute of a game.

Ref 1 - What an absolute stinker that guy had. Let our flair players get pushed, pulled, tripped and kicked - expected it to be the other way round having reffed PL games this year.. Missed a blatant trip by Sterling in the first half but gave us absolutely nothing either side of it.

Robins 6 - Brave changes today before the game, Bayliss off when Shipley was blowing so hard was odd. It was a typical Robins match really. He's finally made the right line up changes but 4 games too late and then too happy to hang on to a 1-0. If that defeat came on the back of the 5 wins or after the Accy draw then the reaction of the fans would be a lot more reflective of the performance though not the result, but as it is tensions are high after the winless streak and errors judged more harshly.

Genuinely don't think there was much wrong with the way we played today away from home. Dominated first half and then a little deep 2nd half but nothing like as deep as we have been. You can't dominate for 90 minutes away from home at this level and yet still had golden opportunities to put the game to bed.

Burge 4 As good as he’s been this season that I’m afraid was Burge of old-knew it as well as he was apologetic to the fans at the end. Got out of jail a couple of times before his gaff set us on our way.

Sterling 6 Just ok, nothing brilliant or disastrous.

Brown 7 Thought he was decent and a couple of very important blocks.

Willis 6 Solid enough but passing/distribution not great.

Davies 6 Reasonable

Kelly 7 Man of the match for me. A great first half but couldn’t reach the same levels in the second half but good game on the whole.

Bayliss 6 Again good first half and was in his game-sadly that faded in the second half.

Thomas 7 Led Walsall a merry dance in the first half but apart from his miss from 6 yards in the second I forgot he was still on.

Shipley 5 Felt a bit sorry for him as we all know he’s a tryer and gives 100% but it’s just not happening for him-summed him up when presented with the ball breaking forward second half and played a woeful ball. Maybe it’s just not his level.

Baka 6 Some ok link up play but again an awful miss from 6 yards that should have been planted into the onion bag-made worse only by Thomas hitting it at the keeper from 6 yards. As a “striker” unfortunately this is what he will be judged on.

Chaplin 5 Was surprised that the golden boy lasted as long as he did. Just doesn’t look like the player that everyone thought he was. Just hope it comes good for him and us.

JCH 5 Can see why he was bought on as it was quite clear that we needed someone to try and hold the ball up a bit more, but again that chance HAS to be put away!

Ogogo 3 Again I see the reasoning why he was bought on, but in reality it should have been Doyle who would have rallied the troops. What the hell was he thinking of for that ridiculous push which resulted in a penalty.

Robins 5 Can see why he made the changes he did which didn’t really pay off but the manager can not be held responsible for goalkeepers gaffs and players pushing in the penalty box.

What about the ref?

Can't believe he Refs the Premier league. Many of of decisions were worse than Burge's today. For example, how many times does Leahy have to foul Thomas before he gets booked. Leahy should have been booked in the first ten minutes but was allowed to kick everybody without any form of penalty. To be fair he gave crap decisions both ways but I still thought he wore a red shirt and was one of the worst we have had this year.

Yet again though, we let them get away with it.

To get back at them Ogogo pushed one of them over in the box.

Somebody should have just taken a yellow by smashing one of their players on the byline then telling their fans.

Burge - would have been 7 before the rash rush. Amazing save just before it and some excellent catching from crosses.

Sterling 6 - lucky to get away with what looked like an obvious foul in the area
Willis 7 - fine
Davies 8 - commanding
Brown 7 - always looks like the weak link to me but he was very energetic today

Thomas 8 - sometimes as good as you'll see at this level, great goal
Bayliss 7 - flair baby flair, but wish he'd stop losing it as he approaches their area. It feels like it's every other time it happens
Kelly 7 - good and almost scored at the death
Shipley 6.5 - good to see him back in place of Hiwula and thought he did all right

Chaplin 5 - first time I've properly understood the criticism he's been getting. Largely anonymous
Bakayoko 6 - still not really good enough and you don't think he's actually going to score but put in a shift with some skilful touches

JCH 6 - not such a bad miss (under pressure, at speed) as others say, but just too ineffectual and doesn't look like he'll score either
Ogogo 4 - all he had to do was see out the last few minutes etc - looks unfit and poor to me

Nick

Sterling's was outside the area.

Shipley better than Bakayoko today? Good to see the pre-determined ratings. Madness.

Burge made a mistake , it’s o my highlighter as it’s the hardest ( or second hardest if you count the fact we can’t score ) position on the pitch!
Midfielders make shitty passes , strikers miss chances we swear they should of burried... 2 mins later it’s forgotten. Goalies make a similar level of mistake and it’s Often a goal. That’s that nature of beast. Get over it and stop looking for scape goats , we aren’t on the run we are on because of Burge
