Nothing like the excitement of kicking off the third round of the world's most famous cup competition on a Thursday night.

Our probable poor gate on Saturday looks like it'll be equal to Sheffield United's at least.

A nice 380 mile round trip on a Thursday evening for a 7pm kick off to watch the second eleven.

For as good of a job he’s done, Emery’s record in the domestic cups at Villa is dreadful

and it’s starting to rub a few of my pals who support them up the wrong way

Take the fact it’s a Villa strip away

The shirts with just the numbers on the back look fucking mint

Why have they no shirt sponsor even?

Villa have been poor, not a single shot at goal.

Man U ala Newton Heath is the first that springs to mind.
1994?
Pretty sure they played early rounds in yellow and green but not the final.
They played 2 away games in the yellow and green as it was their away kit

3rd round vs Sheffield United who play in red and 5th against Wimbledon who for some reason played in red that game

As I said in reply re 'commemorative kit', the yellow and green was Newton Heath who would go on to become Manchester United.
Without checking I can only assume that 1994 was 100 years since Newton Heath were formed?

no, they were formed in 1878

It wasn't a commermorative kit, it there was no reason for having that kit it was just what they decided to have as an away kit

I remember Man Utd playing in a plan red strip with no sponsors/names on them on the 50th anniversary of Munich and they lost to Man City at home

Didn’t we wear a commemorative chocolate brown kit at home and get spanked as well… one of the last games of the season
