Yeah, any improvement at CB needs pace otherwise I don't see the point. If a CB is good enough to lead a consistent defence in this league without any pace, they'll be poached within a few months, so having pace to bail us out when we have a brainfart is what could make the difference.

Thankfully Lampard & his team are seeing the squads deficiencies early & hopefully getting his targets identified before the season ends …..although these could be inferior to our premier league season come 2025/26
