I think we need to start the game at high tempo and so for me, Allen should start. When we drop into pedestrian pace we concede. We are much better on the front foot. Torp alongside Grimes.
I would have Wright on the bench. Simms will want to score against his old (loan) club.

A lot of talk about Grimes being too deep and operating like a third central defender. It’s obvious this is because the distribution of Thomas and Kitchin is poor. If we improve on this pairing in the summer we could expect to see Grimes afforded more opportunity to play further ahead of the defenders.

For Saturday I would swap Eccles for Allen but push Torp further up of the 3.

Was it this season or last when Simms or Wright bullied O'Nien? I'm sure there was a game when he got wound up.

I might get pelters for this but I would start binks at left back bit of physicality against roberts , I know bidwell can be physical but he gives away silly and cheap fouls especially against a tricky wide man
I don’t think it’s the worst idea if the plan was to have him drift into a back three in possession like was the case earlier.

It’s one day a week you’ve got to turn up for your job I don’t get why it’s ever an issue tbh.

No that is where you are wrong. Training is a work day as much as a match day. This is were fans have not got a clue about the life of professional sports people.

It's fans who only have to turn up on match days. Yes match day is a big experience for players, it gives them their best moments. But it is a only a part of their working week.

He will be back up. I expect whoever we sign to be the MVE equivalent at left back who basically plays 90% of the time. Bidwell can fill in/give rest.
He could also be useful as a backup centre back.
I think he did it once last season.

Gap in the table doesn't lie, expect a loss happy with a point
How about how the gap has shrunk in the last 11 games? Or how they recently lost their best player to injury a few games ago with another player in the same game who was a 1st teamer?

Le Fee has been on loan from Roma since January. They paid €23m for him last summer.

Think this sicknote bollocks has to stop. Professional footballers want to play every game. Sheaf and EMC want to get out there and do it. Unfortunately, some players are more susceptible to injury particularly when they get older..
Bale, one of the great modern players who was predicted to have injury problems later in his career due to his technique was lambasted by lesser football observers.
It is a tragedy when great player succumb to injury and does no one any favours by taking the piss.
Jodi Jones would have given his eye teeth not to have three major injuries.

If we'd won Tuesday I'd take a point in this, but think it's become a must win now with the upcoming fixtures.
In my time of watching football the only time there is a must win fixture is the last game of the season. Even then you often only need a draw.
