I think any half decent keeper saves the first 2 goalsWe would have lost today whoever was in goal. Whole team was shite

I would so love that to be his redemption arc. He’s gonna save two pens at Wembley and take us up.
There is no way a 21 year old with zero league appearances who’s barely even trained with the senior team is going to be thrown in to a Championship playoff race because he’s “a great shot stopper”. It’s nonsense.Leeds had the balls to drop their keeper, you could see he was going to cost them, why don’t we, i think even if you played Luke Bell in goal according to Lampard ( a great shot stopper ) we’d be no worse off, wilson must still be not 100 %, or else there’s no way Collins would still be playing,
He did actually cover the near post, but then they both went straight through him , wer’e back to the early part of the season where every shot goes in, just soft goals again and its down to the same problem, he shouldn’t have played again after the Burnley gameI think any half decent keeper saves the first 2 goals
I only said we’d be no worse off, obviously Wilson once he’s fully fit is ahead of bell, but if bell plays today the scores no worse than what it wasThere is no way a 21 year old with zero league appearances who’s barely even trained with the senior team is going to be thrown in to a Championship playoff race because he’s “a great shot stopper”. Whereas on the flip side our strikers are making opposition goalies look fantasticI remember seeing him in the warm-up against West Brom. He dropped a clanger, and Williams had to come over and gee him up...twice. I was worried about him, but fortunately West Brom didn't lay a glove on us. Today, he had to face a few shots and I thought was terrible.
It's clear he is just mentally destroyed, and it's costing us goals and points. I am not solely blaming Collins, but having a situation where your defence let's in a shot and it's pretty much a goal is not a good situation to be in, obviously.
We might as well give Bell a chance because Wilson and Collins are both not good enoughI only said we’d be no worse off, obviously Wilson once he’s fully fit is ahead of bell, but if bell plays today the scores no worse than what it was
It really isn't given the alternative. There is no way a 21 year old with zero league appearances who’s barely even trained with the senior team is going to be thrown in to a Championship playoff race because he’s “a great shot stopper”. It’s nonsense.
The back 4 isn't settled, we have kept two clean sheets in 11 games and conceded 3 against the bottom club today. It’s arguably the biggest call of Lampard’s time here so far - if Wilson comes in and unsettles the back four in our biggest games of the season then we’re fucked. As fans we can comfortably say that anyone else in goal would offer more confidence, but do the players agree?
I'd prefer he was in the firing line as long as Ellis isn't holding the gun.I think he needs taking out of the firing line
I hope he’s gone in the summer. There’s no justifiable way he should be part of the squad next season.Great. Another Brad Collins thread.
He won’t be our GK next season as we’ll almost definitely sign another in the summer.
PreciselyLeeds had the balls to drop their keeper, you could see he was going to cost them, why don’t we, i think even if you played Luke Bell in goal according to Lampard ( a great shot stopper ) we’d be no worse off, wilson must still be not 100 %, or else there’s no way Collins would still be playing,
There’s zero evidence that Wilson isn’t fit. It’s a made up story on here that’s become FACT.So if Collins gets injured and Wilson isn‘t fit then bell’s the only option ?
is there anything actually wrong with Wilson, looks fine in all the warm ups ?
That's him frantically looking for the trapdoor. The contstant banging the floor when he concedes is a worrying sign
No, he's been fine for weeks
Is it not worrying that he’s still not favoured then?
Collins should’ve saved the second goal and done better for the 3rd but to be frank, MVE had a nightmare in both scenarios that lead to those goals.
If you’re being Frank he’s refusing to blame individuals.
I appreciate that Collins distribution is possibly better than Wilson’s.
However, the primary role of a goalkeeper is to stop the ball going in the net. Collins fails miserably on this primary role.
To keep picking him means we have to score 3 goals every game to get any points.
