'General Admission tickets are currently sold-out – more seats may be released, subject to whether the match is selected for live coverage by Sky Sports.'

How fucking grim. People will miss out because of cameras.

Surely this isn't common at other stadiums? Do Leicester, Southampton and Derby have to give up seats for cameras?

You could argue these tickets have been available for months...

Google thinks they may have to as well.

Like with segregation, the camera situation would be sorted with money in the PL.

We just don't have the resources to sort this stuff.

is there a reason that camera has to be 10 rows back in the stand rather than at pitch level?
I'm guessing it's a better viewing angle, the view from the front is worse than further back for normal fans so I guess it's the same

It's the sheer amount though. The amount blocked off is significant both in Block 5 and in the opposite corner.

Can't remember visiting many grounds and seeing stuff like this for cameras. Maybe I'm not looking for it...
I'm guessing they do and to be fair you need a lot of space to house Troy Deeney's head and gut.

Didn’t they use to have a camera behind the goal and then the others pitchside?

Not that I want to put the cameramen out of a job but do all of the cameras need to be full sized with someone manually operating them?

When I watch Ice hockey there's small (think the old style CCTV) cameras mounted on top of the glass at the centre line and they're remotely operated. Cricket uses remotely controlled cameras as well.

Surely that's possible and if you're clever with the positioning you're losing very few seats.

Other option would be to create a couple of permanent locations, do we lost more seats because its a temporary structure? Put them in the first couple of rows behind the entrance to the stand, can't need more than that can they? You'd lose less than 40 seats for a camera in both corners.

Surely at this point everyone who goes to the stadium, including decision makers, realise that the hospitality section is too large for the throughput of people that can enjoy it on matchdays. The best option would be to change some of that stand into camera gantries? Also would show the stands being full every week.

Also if you switched sides wouldn't one of the camera's in the corner either be in the small segregated bit or in the away block so no worries about any lost seats

It's going to be a hell of a day. Euphoria or crushing disappointment. For one of us, neither of us or both of us!
We have a saying in Boro "Typical Boro" that's reared its ugly head again against Sheff Wed, they never won at home since new years Day and never scored at home since February and guess What Boro turn up and lose 2-1. I don't think we had ever won at he CBS stadium Also Norwich have just sacked their manager ahead of our game with them on Saturday I hope we can get a win but again wouldn't be surprised if we don't turn up. Our fanbase last few years are just numb towards everything and I would say 50% are still behind Carrick.

Im afraid that is just wrong, Nearly all clubs have far too little hospitality areas and are always trying to create more space - Liverpool even have hospitality in a local pub and they bus you to the game! We are lucky to have a ground that was built with this in mind.
The relative loyalty of hospitality patrons kept the club alive when we had gates of 7000 and are a very profitable earner for the club.

How are seats that can't be used earning money?

Yeah exactly. We'll need to spend quite a bit if we get promoted.

This video is good to show what's needed.

A very interesting presentation, clearly Portman Road needed a lot of work before the start of this season but it is an old stadium however things keep moving on and our 20+ year old stadium will be a bit behind in certain aspects.

Asking about what work is needed at the CBS Arena to bring facilities in line with Premier League requirements would be a very good question to ask at the next fans forum with management. 🤔

They can- its just the Balcony offers just dont seem to be priced right for what they provide- Fully expecting a full review of hospitality options next year (whatever happens) Club Coventry (where everyone wants to be) is likely to go up in price and a basic hospitality package for the Balcony priced accordingly.

Of course if we go up would expect all hospitality prices to double (!)

Interestingly, they have stopped issuing wristbands for hospitality so once you are "in" past the ticket scan you could wander into CC anyway now
