If you name your supporters club as 'bitter cunts who dont have enough points to get tickets and do a few games a season but like to complain and moan" then there are quite a few on here who will join you.

Can guarantee I have more points than you

I think you should go fuck yourself but we dont all get what we want. Once again starting an agressive conversation when nobody was speaking to you. Do you not realise nobody ever engages with you unless you start it to provoke a reaction? You really are the forums most boring twat.
The irony of you posting about aggressive conversation when you posted "If you name your supporters club as 'bitter cunts who dont have enough points to get tickets and do a few games a season but like to complain and moan" then there are quite a few on here who will join you."

No wonder people think you are just a fat farmer twat

The reply wasn't to you, but then once again you're too thick to grasp that, especially if you genuinely do have enough points which I doubt, as it wouldn't affect you.

Do you realise there is a DM group that I was added to named David O'Day where people just laugh at your ramblings? You're such a weird fool.

Yep, let's say they can have it to all of the other ones where they would be able to get their own tickets anyway, but not the ones that that are difficult and will sell ...

Tbh most of those I know who go do have the points and are at almost every game. Appreciate that's not true of all tickets they get, but it allows groups in different brackets to be together and means they can make coaches viable as they can't commit to one without the other.
so everyone has the points anyway but they need guaranteed tickets to make coaches viable... because NOT everyone has the points!

there's no defence of it, it's entitlement

Why can't they just buy the ticket if they have the points and wait and see if their mates get one.

We've all done solo aways because our mate can't get a ticket.

Say 3000 people do that though where does it leave the points system?
the most it can ever be is 80 as you have to buy coach travel off them and they only run a single coach unless it is a special game

most people on this coach have also only brought the coach travel as they get the match tickets with their own accounts so they get the points

The most it can ever be? Surly it just scales? if 160, 240 etc etc join they can just put on more coaches?

they don't though
Eh, im lost on this one.

Your first post;
But there, if you are from Cov and you can't get a a ticket there is the way to make sure you can get a ticket for anyway games
Meaning anyone from cov who needs a ticket can get one

I then asked, what happens if 3000 people join an SC and are guaranteed a ticket before sale, where does that leave the points system?

You said, that can not happen because they only run a 1 coach of 80 people (which means your first post is wrong past 80 people).

I said, surely they can just get more coaches if they get more people.

You finished with, they dont though.

But what do you mean they dont? this is a hypothetical scenario you started

Because

a) the club isn't going t give them 3000 tickets

b) they don't have space for 3000

it was just an exmple of a way of getting a ticket to an away game, don't over think it

So it seems Sky Blues Extra have provided the Argentinian fan with a ticket for this whilst fans with 1800 points have missed out.

Thoughts on this? I believe they have representatives on here.

I thought the club didn’t allow this @Sky Blue Pete

Supposedly you can be banned etc from doing this, but given the supporters club do this it feels highly unlikely

Yeah I imagine you’re right.

Hope the lad has a great day but can’t help but feel for someone with 1800 tickets who logged on at 5 past 12 and missed out though.

it doesn't seem right to me, it's one thing helping him get to a game at wembley where everyone who goes games will get a ticket and another where as you say people who have been to every other away game will miss out

It’s 1 ticket, I missed out as didn't have enough points. Does this bother me, tbh more concerned about us winning the game really.

Can see why may irk some (ive done 75% of away games myself this year) but just think personally bigger things to get worried about.

Complete non-issue. Wish I had a life where this was the sort of shit I had time to worry about.

Does anyone actually think every single ticket allocated to the club gets dished out to supporters? There's multiple other avenues used by people to get tickets.

Why on earth would anyone care that one ticket has gone to someone from halfway across the world.

Also isn't this a prime example of be careful what you wish for? Do those who buy tickets every week even if they can't attend really want the club to clamp down heavily on making sure the person using the ticket is the person who purchased it?

Assume nobody complaining has ever had a ticket off a mate who can no longer go.

A friend of mine sorted me out for this one and I’d initially been told we’d missed out but a handful of tickets were available online after the club tweeted it had sold out.

If I couldn’t go to a game and some poor soul who from the other side of the world wanted a ticket, I’d let them have mine.

The guy is Argentinian and it still baffles me he chose our club to support! 😂

Wasn't it off Fifa on his play station or something he saw us and then watched us on YouTube and thought yes I want some of that

That’s what baffles me to be honest. I only support Cov because it’s my local team and that was drummed into me from a young age.

Seeing people support clubs miles away, that they’ve only seen on TV is just not for me.

Football is all about belonging, if you support a big side from somewhere else you don't have that connection whether it be a school, work, pub etc

Exactly that, we win and lose as a community. Being a Cov fan is rare enough that it can bring randomers together.

It’s quite nice seeing lads I went to school with convert from supporting top teams (mostly Man U lol) to following the City.

The feeling that you’re just a number/customer must be heightened supporting the likes of; Liverpool, Man U, Man C, Arsenal and so on.

It does baffle me how supporters turn on themselves - divides getting created.
fans who go away every week, those that don’t.
Fans who were at the league 2 and league 1 days versus the wembley brigade.
Those that went brum/Northampton, those that didn’t.
those with a million points and those without.

I used to go to the odd away game in the years before the kids started coming along and I can’t ever remember this ‘atmosphere’ being a thing. And it’s likely the exiles that caused it as when we were in Northampton/Brum the whole “well we’ll support them away” instead and it started - the loyalty points system whilst necessary due to the increase in demand has exacerbated feelings.

I realise this is an emotive subject for some so I’ll try and be respectful and considered when I say this……

I do understand and get the loyalty points system, however the one gripe I do have about it is that say if my kids want to go to an away game once a season, maybe for a birthday, it’s basically a closed shop as we only have 900-odd points each (the 2021/2022 season we went to most games on JSB family tickets so the points didn’t get counted I don’t think), rather than the required double that.

unless it goes general sale, which whilst it happens it’s rare I think (someone let me know which games have gone that way, I’ll bow to superior knowledge), then the response I’ll likely get is ‘well you can’t go then’.

unless you know someone who can get you one.
So I’ve personally not really got too much against it as that is currently the only way I could get one as it stands.
Surely we want as many fans to support the team wherever they want to?

Where was the anger and frustration on new years day at Cardiff?!?

Its 1 ticket for the argie lad - so what....
Points system works, is it perfect, probably not, but looks pretty good to me on whole...
there are only limited amount of tickets, as their ground only holds 11k!!! so its pretty simple people are missing out ffs.
There is a lot of selfish views (not necessarily on here, more general point) essentially, people thinking they are entitled over someone else or they have done more miles or they have been to more grounds....blah blah.

Who ever is there, good luck, sing loud, support the lads as we really need a result.

I agree with those that think the same City fans shouldn't dominate away tickets.
All season ticket holders that want to apply should do so, with the club selecting successful applicants on a random basis.

PS I remember seeing Alan Green scoring a hatrick back in the day at Kenilworth Road. City winning 3-1 or 3-0.
