What a pointless poll.

I think what we are saying is outside of Gyok and Godden, and maybe for the goalscoring Wright, our forwards in this league have not been great

Walker / Biamou/ Simms/ Bassette / BTA/ Tavares/ Waghorn

Some of the threads on here have been truly pathetic and this one is right up there
Well it's certainly got plenty of criticism and I'll take that, but it is a forum for opinions. In truth, I posted it on the coach immediately after the game and on Monday and partly to get a rise out of Grendel which has backfired, but in reality, a surprising amount of people have selected Max.

What is interesting is that actually Max had his last season in the Championship. In slightly less minutes from 25 games (19 starts) he only scored 1 goal less than Ellis has. Most on here would agree he was limited at this level, but what you could never question was his effort. Pound for pound, he was approximately 10% of what we're paying Simms if the reported figures are correct (£2,500 v £25,000) and if we believe that Ellis is really leaving it all out there and putting it in, then that's probably an even bigger indictment on his ability.

Simms is way younger in the Championship than Max was and there should be much more to come from Sims. Time will tell.
Max was doing ok in his last season in the Championship and his attitude was exemplary. Unfortunately, he got a bad injury after Robins said he was well on the way to earning another contract. Like Dabo, think Max's career has been scuppered by injury. When fit, I think Max was proving to be a good mid-table Championship player.

Mmmm. Running out of patience with Ellis Simms and his lack of desire against Hull when he should have thrown himself at the ball at the far post for a tap in. Same again for Plymouth’s first goal-lack of desire to make an effort to close the man down and stop the cross coming in.

The Plymouth one he was the only one with desire to close the man down for the cross everyone else was walking up

Oggy disagreed and he compared to their striker who bust a gut to do it rather than aimlessly putting a leg out with no actual desire to make a blovk

However much you dislike Biamou, you have to accept he was integral to the squad and his goals have contributed to us being where we are. He is part of our history and story and, in a sliding doors moment, his goals at Notts County were the catalyst for our rise.

Imagine if you can lock Simms and Haji in a room for 24 hours watching Gyokeres and the effort he put in.

So fucking laid back and soft. Ellis was nearly in tears when he fouled their player and thought he'd hurt him. Utter embarrassment.
Lock them in a room watching Gyokeres and Russo playing as strikers.

Godden was starting to struggle at this level, but I think a lot of people have now realised he actually did a decent job when called upon.

…still a better finisher than what we currently have as well. Same as when he was here.
