U18’s beat Watford 2-1 at the Higgs today (01/04/2025). Thrilling game, very end to end with Watford taking a 1-0 lead via a certain Kristian Shevchenko, but Coventry fought back with 2 goals in the last 15 mins to seal the victory. That’s 6 wins in a row now.
And yet it's nowhere on our social media. I have no idea why

Think there's only been about three games this season where they've shown the team.

Almost as hard just to find out the scorers.
I wondered if it was a gdpr/under 18s privacy thing but I think it's just pure neglect as other teams post our teams and scorers and we just pretend it doesn't happen!

I find the website youthawk is pretty good for information .
I tend to look there but even they usually have little except the result for us. Opposition often have teams and scorers, but we don't, so it has to be a conscious decision by the club they don't want this info known.

Could be due to their age and safeguarding, but could also be they want as little getting out so bigger clubs have to work harder to poach our youngsters.

Maybe we need to start a "Whatever Happened To?" for those that got poached as a youngster.

How many made it, and at what level. Did we actually get a good deal getting compensation for them as a youngster?

It’s exactly that, they don’t want players poached. There’s scouts at every game and they’re all looking for the next star.

Players will find out later this month whether they’re being kept on or not.

The 15 year old who came on as sub for Leicester tonight , Jeremy Monga, is a former Coventry Academy player and is from Coventry. He’s now being touted by the likes of Real Madrid and Man City.

Team was, result wasn't. But I take from this that Raphael may not be on the subs bench on Friday but Burroughs might. With an outside chance that Jayden Smith may be on the bench.

The club set up a separate twitter feed for the academy last year - sensible as it had initially the same level of match updates as the main matchday feed (so you wouldn't get loads of academy updates if you weren't interested) but seems to have dried up this year

Yeah they usually take updates from other club accounts too

Finished 2-1

Howley played. Considering Lampard is putting Isaac Moore on the bench over Howley, his progression hasn't happened!

Or he doesn't intend to use either off the bench for the first team bar 2 minutes and felt Howley needed 90 minutes.

Howley and Stretton both looked decent prospects but I'm now expecting both to be let go at the end of the season. Andrews seems to be the one who might make it but have heard very little about his loan spell.
