He was decent against United too.

He's been extremely disappointing this season. If we had spend £3-8m on him this summer, we'd have been losing our marbles. Thankfully for him, he has credit from last season.

Even Tavares did ok against United

Immensely frustrating player. Said before I think the thing that lets him down most is his personality style - he has neither the will to win nor the desire to improve himself. He’s borderline uncoachable.

Sell him in the summer and bring in someone who better fits what we need. Can’t try and play a high pressing style with a traffic cone up front.

Keep hoping he will suddenly put in a performance like from his hot spell last season, but there is very little sign of that form returning. He really doesn't use his physique, and is too easily physically dominated by opposing defenders, while his lack of close control prevents him holding the ball up and bringing others into play. While I appreciate it is difficult up front on your own he also made it very easy for Luton's defenders yesterday by his lack of movement. I get the impression that he is too nice and a bit soft. A good example came from the Plymouth game when he accidentally caught a defender in the head, and looked to be almost in tears at what he had done. He just doesn't have that selfish hunger that the best strikers inevitably possess.
