    New Kit

Another Hummel kit released, this time for SC Freiburg, who’ve been Hummel-wearers for a few seasons now. Personally I think this is a wee bit tame, and I’m not a big fan of the collar. But not terrible, I guess?

    New Kit

I love it. Sure it’s garish and weird, but that’s the 90s for you, and lots of kits from that era that were considered garish and weird at the time are now considered classics. For me it’ll always be associated with a couple of great seasons with standout moments: Ndlovu’s jinking run and goal...

    New Stadium Announcement!!!!!!

From looking at the various planning docs, I made this map (along with speculative site for the new stadium); I think it’s reasonably accurate. The train station would most likely be connected to the new Kings Hill development in the area just south of Bishop Ullathorne’s playing fields...

I hate the sponsor logo but otherwise I think that's really smart. Nice simple collar, good cuffs, stripes on just the shoulders. Very classy. The only change I'd have made is to make the club badge monochrome (i.e. use a darker shade of the same pink instead of red, so that it matches the...

    This season's Shirt Sponsor

I feel like everyone is entitled to make up their own minds about whether a betting sponsor is acceptable to them or not, and to take action (or not). What isn’t on is telling others their opinion is wrong because they don’t think it’s a problem. Talk to somebody who has a gambling addiction...

Also worth bearing in mind the shorts and mini kit were both discounted recently (I bought both).

    This season's Shirt Sponsor

maybe, but in any case the Allsopp & Allsopp sponsorship is part of the print, so they’d have to do an entirely new run to include a new sponsor, or wear the old sponsor in matches (unlikely, without some form of compensation).

have we kept a third kit for multiple seasons before? Obviously the last example with Nike couldn’t be used, but I’m curious if there’s any track record for this? My gut feeling is they’d just create a new third kit: kit revenue is a massive moneymaker for clubs, that’s why they exist in the...

    New Kit

According to Historical Kits, we wore sky blue and white stripes a couple of times in the 1910s, then post-WWI we switched to royal blue in place of sky blue in all our kits up until the Jimmy Hill era. In that period striped blue and white did feature several times, so as much as some people...

    New Kit

One historically famous kit we’ve yet to have a retro nod to is the mid 70s Admiral kits, solid sky blue with the thin strips down the sides. That could work well.

    New Kit

Couple more new Hummel kits announced today, this time CD Castellón in Spain: These are both particularly interesting in that they have a different collar to almost all the other Hummel kits released this summer, plus a unique pattern inside the stripes derived from their chevrons. I’d say...

    New Kit

Most of them in League One/Two, like Oldham, Cambridge etc. To be clear by ‘pattern’ I don’t mean the stripes, I mean the literal construction of the shirt, i.e. the shape of the collar, the use of raglan sleeves etc. Once you have that template you can change what gets printed on the specific...
