I wouldn't worry about regulations even if there are any. Have assets moved from acl part of the group? If so I think we all have seen how that plays out. There is no football creditors rule in this case. Not saying it is happening or will happen I simply don't know. But remember how ccfch and...

I wonder if Appleton or someone of his ilk is going to rock up and miraculously wasps regain the lease and business via administration and get rid of millions in debt at some point🤔

Not sure the WMRA lends to private companies to pay historical debt. Don't know for sure. I would have thought such arrangements are for capital projects. If the purpose is to finance bond debt and repay investors or trade creditors then they should turn it down. No ifs buts or maybes. Wasps...

I agree with you CD its totally unacceptable. Most companies do not act like this, i am only guessing though what they might have told companies house to get the striking off notice removed

no i dont think so the companies have demonstrated to Companies House that there is cause to discontinue the striking off order I assume that they have confirmed to Companies House that financials will be filed in the near future

Agree with most of that. However Companies House has been getting stricter about deadlines and winding up orders are being sent so they go live at around 2 months after the due date for late filing of financials. Should not get to that though without good reason. I agree I think something...

There are a number of entities with sub leases at the stadium. Selling ACL or the head lease would not remove the need to honour all of the sub leases. So unlikely there would or could be a change in nature to the stadium But it's all just speculation though as to what is going on.

Leases usually have clause saying permission of freeholder needed but also usually say that permission can not be unreasonably withheld So they could sell the lease but it was the stadium operating companies I was really referring to, apologies I didn't make that clear.

I think that might be because there is now no market for them to be traded on so not possible to put a trading price on them. The only thing left is pay out (or not) to the existing bond holders.

That's one possibility fp certainly. Selling the stadium part is another. There are other possibilities. I am sure we will find out soon enough

Acl got extended 250 year lease. But being a separate group company they gave sub lease to wasps rugby of 50 years Wasps rugby being wasps holdings Ltd which owns acl Creates value in the lease.

Strange but the wasps holdings group accounts for 2021 were filed on time. But the accounts for ACL, IEC, and ACL 2006 due 31/03 still outstanding at companies house. ACL of course is the company that owns the lease, owes 23m (I think) of the bond finance to wasps finance plc, operates the...

The rugby authorities are making the second tier unviable as a fully professional sport and therefore ring fencing the top division on a permanent basis without actually saying so. Once they get to 14 teams in the premiership that will be it. The South African teams being involved is a drive...

    Comedians

Went to see one of my favourite comedians Milton Jones at Warwick Arts centre last night. Didnt disappoint, tears of laughter throughout. Clever use of words and one liners Was ably supported by Tom Houghton. Not a swear word from either all night. Anyone else go ? And who are others favourites?

Good luck to Cov today. Tough ask but you never know. 🤞 Had planned to go but can't now. Rest of the family are, so hope they have a great day and am sure the players will do the club and city proud

    Cov RFC Season 21/22

I hope they do well too and what you are hearing comes off The figures filed at companies house are abridged so it doesn't give a lot of detail. But the main points I took were - deficit on p&l account increased by 760k. No details as to how the loss derived. But that is big losses for a...

Been giving the latest wasps revelation a little thought. So what do we know. The deadline fixed 7 years ago and they missed it. They have it seems with this and other bond issues totally and consistently disrespected their investors. Would be very very hard to use a public investment route...
