I don’t disagree but WB are a level above the Championship. Sheaf is our best midfielder so we may not be at our absolute best without him but with Rudoni, Torp, Eccles, Lati and Allen it’s not disastrous.

I thought our new signings did well. Dovin looked an upgrade on Collins and Wilson. He seems decisive and I like the fact that he tries to catch the ball rather than punch it.

Subject, of course, to them all being match fit that would be my choice. We have some exciting newcomers but they have to earn their place in the team. It’s great that we have such good options from the bench now.

For me the key point is the safety of the other boxers. It’s not Khelif’s fault that - for want of a better term - she is a genetic freak but I don’t see how she can be allowed to compete. I know that seems unfair and I genuinely feel sorry for her but I think it is the only solution.

I think that’s a very realistic assessment of our chances. A few on here are getting a bit carried away. We should, if nothing else, have a season of exciting attacking football to look forward to and at least a place in the playoffs. But how I would love it if we get automatic promotion ❤️

Yes, supposedly off to Middlesbrough. I can see the attraction because he did well for them the season before last. I wish we could have got him. I think he’s a really good player who fits well with our style.
