I agree about Highfield road, went there donkeys years ago (1977). Never understood why you left TBH.

Thank you. We'll all have to wait and see if there's any semblance of truth in it then.

Is there a link to that by any chance? Would be interested to see the reaction to it on our forum.

That's what I find frustrating as it's already there, in Coventry. If I'm frustrated, I can only imagine how you guys feel.

I don't disagree cc84 but, will he tell BCFC he wants to leave? I dunno, remains to be seen I guess but mark Ashton will do what's best for BCFC, have no doubt about that. I can't see us trading him for less than the figures being mentioned, if at all. By Championship standards, it's actually...

True, can't deny that. he has paid for the redevelopment of the stadium (I hope you like it) and has now bought all the land surrounding the stadium and is building all sorts of stuff on it. We know we're extremely lucky to have him and his son at our club, no denying that.

I would think that's probably about right cc84. We save face by making a bit of profit etc etc. FWIW, I also agree with the poster that said fees will change this summer due to the lockdown. As a Championship club, sadly, these are the minimum fees you'll be expected to pay. Massively inflated I...

That was an enjoyable season I must admit. Storming L1 and winning the JPT, again, was enjoyable. finishing with a 0-6 at Bradford and an 8-2 v Walsall on the final day was lovely. Flinty did indeed get 15 and finished with a hat trick, including a rabona. o_O I think it would take a fair bit...

He's not allowed to play for us as you hold his seasons' registration. I think he may well end up with you as we also have Sammy Smozdics and Welsh international Joe Morrell heading back to BS3 plus the players mentioned by my esteemed fellow city supporter. It will cost you though. I also...

Is there another suitable stadium in or near Coventry?

    The Ricoh

I guess this is my point BSB. Surely there must be a way for all parties to benefit from your return to the Ricoh? Ticket sales, matchday revenues, non matchday revenues etc etc? I guess it's idealistic but it can't be that hard to see the benefits for all parties?

Not sure if we work to the same model as Brighton but we have to be content with gradual progression and are very lucky to have our owner. The next step is the big one for us though, actually getting into and staying in the potential promotion places. Given where we have come from in 5 / 6...

    The Ricoh

Fair comment BSB. When the likes of Villa (eg) come down with £100m in their back pockets, it's an unfair advantage for all of us but makes it nigh on impossible for the promoted sides. You never know, you might do a 'Sheffield Utd' and shoot straight through but most, ourselves included, really...

    The Ricoh

Not initially but we went for players we clearly had no chance of getting (Andre Grey, Dwight Gayle), we signed Jonathon Kodjia eventually, Once Johnson came in we spent a few bob on experienced loans to stay up but it was a close run thing and we would probably have gone back down with just our...

    The Ricoh

That's easily sorted as we have done in BS3 with a Desso 4 pitch, like a bowling green every week for us and the Bears. The problem is the cost (I think it was £2M) would only add to your financial dilemma. Yes, your income will shoot up as you well know but do you spend that money on a return...

Cheers people, IF he's heading our way, I'm sure Lee J has something in mind for him. We'll see I guess. Make sure you beat that 'orrible lot up the road will you?

Hi Sky Blues. We're starting to hear similar rumours down here. Where he fits into our side I don't know as we have the superb Adam Webster and are trying to sign Tomas Kalas from Chelsea, who was on loan with us last season, on a permanent deal. We also have Nathan Baker, Bailey Wright and Zac...

So, who do we want ?

Now that sounds like a poisoned chalice Hobo. On the formation, 3-5-2 worked brilliantly at L1 level for us as we had very quick full backs in Mark Little and Joe Bryan. The problem is that Championship sides tear 3-5-2 to pieces. Whoever gets your job, I wish you well. As mentioned by many, the...
