Will be going on a tour of the Fuller's Brewery today, maybe a few Guinnesses later on my Irish local. Got a mate coming over who likes a few beers, the mrs is away, MK tomorrow - you get the picture.
According to the set of scales i use, i lost 5 lbs between monday and today. Have taken up 6 mile bike rides during my lunch hour every day this week to try to help burn the flab.
I that's the weekend Sheff U weekend, be it our game on the Friday night (which we will surely lose) or the following day when other teams pick up enough points to drag the safety mark over the horizon.
Careful mate, that'll be us next season. Glass houses and all that.
1) only a single point earned this season from games where we've conceded the first goal
2) only one away win
3) more wins in the Checkatrade Trophy than in the league
4) worst goal difference in the league
5) 4 different managers
6) highest scorer this season currently at the club is Willis
7)...
I'm going to this one and have been looking forward to it for a while. Seems a shame that we won't get the same support as we had on any of our previous three visits there, as on all three occasions we were in various shades of bother either on or off the pitch. It's only just down the Motorway...
I had completely forgotten until just then that both of them are (nominally at least) still on our books.
2. One each for the seasons he has been with us.
I don't rate Ruben but his has scored nearly as many for us this season as the rest of the current squad (4 i think). Top scorer is Willis (LOL) with a paltry 5. Even Haynes has 4. Needless to say, most of those were in cup games!
It would take a freakish combination of results for us to be relegated by Wembley. But my view is that it will be immediately afterwards that the coup de grace arrives; the Sheff U game will be a defeat probably and that'll see it confirmed.
