I've gone for Ellis. Amazing turnaround.

Form guide says "no", but wouldn't surprise me if we beat them.

    Liam Kitching

Totally agree, Matt. I really like Kitchin and Thomas. Think they will be a great pairing for us. I wonder what the scope is for getting McNally back? Didn't pull up any trees at Stoke, but he seemed to really settle in here.

Blackburn did the same to us yesterday.

    Sheaf

I'm with you there. Great player for us, but I would be amazed if a Prem team signed him. Same with O'Hare. Don't think either are Prem quality.

Not always. Some of his passing is pretty terrible on occasions. Both he and Eccles need to work on that.

    Blackburn ratings

Just got home. Collins had a great game, best I've seen him for a while. Thomas was immense and is fast becoming my favourite player. Poor performances from Kelly, Eccles, O'Hare, Palmer. Wright and Simms not great, but they never got a lot of the ball. Annoyed by the Fadz song during the...

Best TV shows or movies you can recommend

I'm a non player and loved it. I might not get in jokes or nods to the game, but didn't spoil my enjoyment. Loved it. I'm rewatching The Last Of Us now.

    Mark Robins

Oh yeah, he was useless. Remembered mostly for freezing out McSheff.

The first manager I really remember was Gordon Milne. Although my first game was in 1972, it was really 77/78 when I started going regularly. Then we had BG and Don Mackay, then G&J, of course. The worst period for me was the Phil Neal/Terry Butcher years. I also thought Strachan was a...

Video Coventry City v Hull City highlights

I think I can forgive the first. Things happen, a bobble, lack of concentration. When a keeper makes a mistake - as players all over the pitch do - then it tends to lead to a goal. Their third goal though is something else entirely. Maybe Bobby should have had more weight to it, but it...

Always enjoy the Blackburn trip. A comfortable win would be nice. Would stick with Collins.

Despite the clean sheet thing, I would still get shot of Wilson and keep Collins as number two as he has shown some qualities and is a good stopper. Then again, what do I know? I wanted us to get rid of Burge and keep Charles-Cook (still think I was right on that one).

Opposite end to us, so didn't really see what happened. Why not just smash it, even if you risk bringing the player down? That's woeful.

    Player Ratings

It's a shame when players you have cheered week in and week out start to drop in quality. I'm thinking Godden here. The service he got last night was pretty minimal, but when he did have the chance he showed a lack of strength and was knocked off the ball too easily. Great goal from Palmer...

<shudder>. Will never forget that game he played against us though, he was immense. Signed him on the strength of a game of a lifetime.

Interesting take on the reality of the promised land

I remember going to that first game at Stockport, leaving the ground and saying to my mate, "we're gonna piss this league". Twenty-three years later...
