    Mark Venus M.I.A

I agree - the TF comments on the radio yesterday did not sound positive for MV's prospects of staying around much longer.

Match Thread Oldham v Coventry Match Thread - Saturday 11th Feb

Of course it's going to be tough - we're bottom of the league, can't score in the league and in spite of their own woes Oldham do not concede many.

Match Thread Oldham v Coventry Match Thread - Saturday 11th Feb

Wouldn't be surprised at all if we win. Players' confidence must have been boosted by Tuesday. Oldham lost at MK and have scored even fewer goals than us this season - they know they need to win this one even more than we do, arguably. It's all there for us to win 2-0.

    WEMBERLEY!!!!!!

Mate I am under 35 (just) but I don't see this as a big deal. I can see I am in the minority on this and I'm not going to change minds. I will log off now to stew in my own resentful indifference......

    WEMBERLEY!!!!!!

Look I'm not criticizing anyone for enjoying the moment, just stating I don't share it, because it seems odd to me that people would be enthusiastic about this competition, especially given the wider troubles at CCFC. That's all. It's OK, I am allowed to state my own opinion without being liable...

    WEMBERLEY!!!!!!

Yeah, because no way are the court cases more important than a competition that only lower league clubs and youth teams are allowed to enter.

You do realise we haven't been promoted back to our rightful place in the Premiership, right?

    WEMBERLEY!!!!!!

Well I hope we can carry it into the rest of the season in the league (haven't done so far). If not, the Wembley game will be bittersweet indeed.

    WEMBERLEY!!!!!!

Glad you enjoyed it mate. To be honest I feel very sad. I feel like that guy at the party who doesn't fit in with the vibe and just wants to go home. Our club is burning and I can't forget that. Not moaning at anyone who wants to enjoy themselves but this seems to me like a very empty...

    WEMBERLEY!!!!!!

If the Checkatrade final was called off by the FL tomorrow, I'd trade that for 3 points on Saturday. Genuinely. We're bottom of the third tier and been knocked out of the cups 4-0 and 6-1, and yet people are carrying on like this is the best thing that's happened for years. Come on guys, get a...

    WEMBERLEY!!!!!!

Oh no, are we going to have to put up with SBT being full of fans creaming their jeans over the prospect of Wembley for the next 8 weeks?

    That buzz....

Not me, not going, not watching on TV. Waste of time and energy.

    Relegation thread

So would you say you are just as excited about Wycombe as you were about Millwall on Sat? Doesn't sound like it to me. Imagine 2 years time if we have dropped into the National League....we reach the semis of the FA Trophy - will you be as excited as this in that scenario?

    Relegation thread

Mate it's just a sideshow, and irrelevant one at that. That's just my view - I get that you're excited but I'm not. Look at the crowd tomorrow compared to the Crewe game (and I didn't go to that either so I'm consistent in my opposition to our participation in this nothing of a trophy). I...

    Chris Stokes

It's clearly been a real hammer blow to lose Stokes for the whole season - I think TM was really banking on him as a leading player. Whether he can make it back to full fitness and regular football remains to be seen, but as No Loyalty implies, it has to be at least doubtful. It's a great shame...

    Russell Slade

Sorry I meant at CCFC. Bit late for that isn't it? 7 league games in already, he's got a far worse "points per game" than Mowbray this season, never mind Venus.
