Agreed, but it may not be Peterborough who finish above us (hopefully no one will), the point being we are clearly playing more teams who are higher in the league and still have their own hopes of play offs or autos.
Just goes to show, when we're doing well, games can't come quick enough. Same for the players, hence less of an issue with fatigue, as they're all up for the games.
yes its Saturday, as per fixture schedule. not sure where the Tuesday came from, maybe because we've played Sat/Tues/Sat/Tues for a few weeks in a row recently?
Found this analysis of teams' run-ins until end of season on SoccerStats. Interestingly we have on paper the most difficult run in, alongside Doncaster based on average points per game of the teams we have yet to play. Ipswich then Peterborough have the easiest run in based on PPG. Ourselves...
Vernam is ex-Derby I think, moved around a lot, and now ended up at Grimsby under Ian Holloway. Still only young (23/24 maybe) but seems to be doing well at Grimsby. Vaguely remember his time here, but didn't set the world alight from memory.
Looking at other fixtures, 3 points today would be massive.
Fleetwood v Doncaster
Ipswich v Peterborough
Fast improving MK Dons v Wycombe
Portsmouth v Sunderland
