    Boxing Tonight

Joe Joyce fights Michael Wallisch tonight. Live on BT Sport. A warm up for Joyce before his big fight with Daniel Dubois in October. The German has a decent record and hopefully gives Joyce a good test ? I've watched Joyce a few times on t.v. and has power but looks a bit slow and cumbersome...

    Weight and working out

Since I've been out on my window cleaning round more after lockdown, I've lost over a stone in weight. No dieting just lots of walking and exercise. Definitely feel fairly fit again as I felt sluggish, and low in mood, the lockdown was definitely turning me unfit and lazy. Where I'm living now I...

What are you currently listening to?

They were featured on the news recently. I'd never heard of them before to be honest, only know about Glastonbury and their farming history etc. I'll catch up with this so thanks.

    Ever Been Sacked ?

Working on Coventry Point in city centre from the start as a labourer on the site. Was there for a few months when a new foreman started, and we all disliked him as he was a bully, and had the annoying habit of not asking us by name to do a job, he would say " you go and do this, or you go and...

    Ever Been Sacked ?

As 2 managers have been sacked at Watford and Huddersfield, got me thinking about getting fired. I've been sacked a few times in the past, and at the time couldn't understand why ? I was on a building site aged about 20 and I was being trained up to be a plasterer's labourer. I was useless but...

    Robins on 5 Live

He sounded positive and looking forward to the campaign. Said the fans have been great and wants us back playing in Coventry.

    Brentford

Fancy Brentford to get runners up spot. The Baggies are wobbling and Brentford are moving into a new stadium as well. Leeds are back after 16 years I think, great club but their fans used to have a bad reputation. Came back once from Elland Road on a coach with smashed windows, and they had won !

    After The Lockdown ?

An elderly customer of mine pays me in coins. She counts it out as well. She's a lovely old lady so I just say " No of course I don't mind, I collect coins anyway. " Makes me home made cake to take with me, so worth it ! ☺

    After The Lockdown ?

They always do ! We're being turned into robots. Do this and do that listen to our leaders blah blah blah. My late parents generation would tell them to piss off ! 😣

    After The Lockdown ?

When cash goes I'll be in a mess. Do everything in cash. I've got a credit card which I loathe, so looks like I'll have to get used to using a card again. Good article online recently by someone saying we should all be out on the streets demonstrating against a cashless society. Saying it's a...

    After The Lockdown ?

I got a taxi the other day and the driver wore a mask and after I paid the fare in cash, he sprayed his hands with sanatiser. Like garlic bread, it's the future ! 😅

    After The Lockdown ?

My sister is going to her hairdressers today first time since before lockdown. She says for some reason she feels nervous, and doesn't know why ? Must be due to the weeks and weeks stuck in her house, and being scared of picking up the virus. Another side effect to lockdown I reckon, as I too...

    After The Lockdown ?

So we are slowly returning to " normal " after the lockdown. How are you finding things ? I'm back window cleaning and customers are pleased that their windows are now nice and sparkly again. I noticed a few though are now working from home, mini offices set up in their homes. I've asked them...

    No Interest Whatsoever

Yes it's still there. Had trouble in the Potters Green Club some years back, last time I went in there they were a bit iffy still, so won't be going there. Might try the Boat instead ? Not too bothered at the moment though.

    No Interest Whatsoever

Not so bad these days. Let's face it there's bad parts everywhere you go. You could live in a " posh" area but have the neighbours from Hell next door. I'm just happy to be out of a block of flats and in a fairly rural spot. You get used to anti social behaviour without realising it, it's as if...

    No Interest Whatsoever

Yes Chelsey Road is opposite the road I'm on. I thought it was Henley Green but it is Potters Green. I've only been here a week but already bumped into a few people I know. Seems fairly quiet in contrast from where I've come from so far. Strange hearing bird song in the morning, usually I get...

    No Interest Whatsoever

I love Malvern especially the hills. But there's problems where ever you live I guess. I'm grateful though I got the bungalow still pinching myself ! Out the back is where we played football as youngsters on Wiseman pitches and I grew up on Woodway Lane just down a bit. Local shops are by the...

    No Interest Whatsoever

Found out younger people are living in bungalows now. I was in a first floor flat so easy access really, but I'd liked bungalows for years and when I discovered I could get one it was a no brainer. Like a ground floor flat but with nice little gardens front and back !
