    We'll be back

My dad was in the more zoomed out photo of him, a couple of rows behind. And yeah it was lively outside. In fact the whole day, hundreds around the Rocket and the Railway station, the "special" train and the walk to the ground, all had a real edge to it. I think deep down a lot of people knew...

I had achilles tendonitis when i was doing Muay Thai. Continued to train through it (so it must have been fairly mild), but couldn't run for a good while and had to cycle/cross-train. Fixed it with a lot of stretching and visits to physio for ultrasound and massage. Hasn't re-occurred (and it's...

Did my first decent rep session after racing last weekend. 4 x 1 mile with 90secs rest, on the Penrith Parkrun course (flat, but was windy and rainy tonight). 6:10 6:05 6:05 6:00 I'd usually be looking to string a minimum of 5 together, and also a good 10 seconds faster, but given the...

    Blackburn Away tickets

The 4-1 "Adebola" cup game at Ewood, we took around 3-3500. One of the most memorable away games during our "bleak" period. We also played then either a couple of years before or a couple of years after, in the cup, 2-2, they equalised last minute. I think we won the replay at the Ricoh though.

    Blackburn Away tickets

Well i've been waiting 5 days for CCFC to get back to me via email to resolve my login issues. If they don't then i'll end up in the home end. I don't like to slag the club off too much but it's piss-poor service.

Yes it is possible. It may not be shin-splints though, better to get a proper opinion. Have you gone from low mileage up to 40-50km/week very quickly? This is one of main causes of shin splints and impact injuries (that, and doing too much hard running off a low mileage)

Ran the Peris Horseshoe fell race yesterday. Absolute beast of a race at 17.5 miles and 8000ft of climb/descent. Came 12th in 4hrs46, which was 11mins slower than my best time, but given the conditions yesterday (zero visibility, chucking it down with rain, really slippery on the rocky terrain)...

Are emails still the best way to get in touch with the ticket office? Unable to log into my eticketing account... went through the process for missing client reference number, but this just leads to an error.

    Video On this day 2007

Was a very memorable evening. It was obvious the club was on a downward spiral, and seemed a massive "show of force" that City could still take a massive following. Similar feelings when we hammered Blackburn 4-1 as well.

Club session with Godiva tonight. 4 x 5 minute hill efforts on the grass. Still feeling stiff and sore from the wwekend, i intended to keep everything steady, and took the first rep at around 4:00/km pace. This loosened me up and on 2nd rep went 3:53/km. Getting into stride now, the final two...

    Bright and Robins

Who gives a toss quite frankly. It's a no-lose situation. If he comes good then we potentially have an asset to the squad. If it doesn't then no doubt Robins will get rid. Bright is hardly "wrecking team sprit" at the moment is he...?

Myself and a couple of other Godiva Harriers raced at the English Fell Champs in Shropshire today... 14.3 miles and 4150ft of climb/descent... course really suited me as whilst it was very tough, it was relatively un-technical... so i was able to push really hard on the long uphill sections...

To be honest, as i would do in most races, i'd had a look round at the start and saw the hazard... also i started in the front couple of rows, so had a clear view... But there were a lot of inexperienced runners who wouldn't have taken a look at any issues, and i could imagine being in the...

Good luck Rich.... Great Expectations hasn't reported on his Nuneaton 10k, i think he said he was expecting to run with a raging hangover... i hope he wasn't the guy who crashed into the bollards 30 yards in....! I've got the English Champs fell race this sunday over in Stretton.... 14...

Yes, as someone mentioned above, it was Brentford away... was an absolute disgrace from City fans, whatever the feelings and circumstances... pure bullying.

My nephew's pack (which was a birthday present from me) was delivered last week. I ordered very early in August (obviously it didn't arrive in time for his birthday, but that was expected)

Without wanting to bring up the past (which seems an everyday occurrence on here)..... people got so entrenched in their views on SISU etc during the real bad period (ie Northampton era), that i think they find it very hard to make any kind of concession when things start to head in a different...

Hope everyone enjoyed Nuneaton this morning. I had a bad day at the office. Very inconsistent. felt short of leg speed, and managed 39:00....... still it was my first road 10km for the best part of a decade, and i'd sooner have an off-day today than in the English Fell Champs next weekend...
