    Take the knee

Quite apart from the issues on this thread... Football has really gone downhill in the past couple of years especially. Everywhere you look, it's constant cheating, diving, "game mangement"... Constant hysteria surrounding the big 4/6/whatever. The past year has obviously not helped...

    Take the knee

That is the very question I was asking. Yet apparently they state that they are apolitical. I think this whole thread sums up that it's a total mess. It's a sad commentary on the world today that I feel I have to publicly state that I am totally against racism, otherwise i feel it might be...

    Take the knee

I totally agree with this. By the same token of my first point... Those I know who go out of their way to constantly moan about it, I either know or heavily suspect to be quite racist...

    Take the knee

Well this is the issue... BLM is (correctly or incorrectly) associated with politics in the UK. That's how it is. Millwall are associated with racism and thuggery. (and quite frankly, even giving a very sceptical benefit of the doubt over their actions, what were they thinking!).

Pete I do not know you personally and I certainly wasn't referring to your nor anyone on this forum.

    Take the knee

Do you believe thatthere is absolutely no political agenda behind BLM in the UK..? I'd imagine that if you go onto UKIP or Britain First websites there will be similar statements attempting to distance themselves from racism, which are quite correctly called out for the bulllshit that they are...

    Take the knee

To be honest, most of the people i know personally who have seemingly made it their 2nd job to push home BLM at every opportunity, do have (in my opinion) a hard-left-wing background and I believe they have a political agenda that goes over and above a simple (and quite right) hatred of racism...

    Best Derbies in the World

In this country I'd say Blues Villa is one of the best/worst. I didn't think any of the other "big" English derbies come close to that.... And think there's more ferocity in lower league derbies...

    Best Derbies in the World

Quite possibly I misunderstood! Barely had my eyes open when I read the post!!

    Best Derbies in the World

The idea that Argentine derbies don't have passion because there are no away fans is insane. Of course it would be better if there were.... But they still piss over anything over here

    Best Derbies in the World

The Rome Derby is heavy. Atmosphere was obviously very intense, but there was so much tension in the air. I actually thought Milan vs Juve was a better atmosphere overall (it was stunning). There's some insane derbies in Italy... Livorno vs Pisa.... Catania vs Palermo... The Genoa Derby...

    Running

Great stuff. I did same a few weeks ago (in fact I did 4 reps with 2mins rest), but was at about 5:50..... 5:30 is very impressive. Today's club session was 20 x 200mtrs, but to make it more race specific I did it on a rough and muddy downhill on the side of the old Astley Pit. Could only...

    Running

Your breathing will improve as you gain fitness... And the best way to do that is lots of steady running. In terms of controlling it in a race/timed effort/etc... It sounds simple, but you need to try and relax it and keep it controlled.

15.5 miles today round the Cov Canal, Foleshill, City Centre, Hillfields, Bell Green, Longford, and back to Bedworth... a scenic tour if you will... Approx 2hrs

    Running

Went over to Warwick Racecourse to run the Parkrun course this morning. 18:50.... a bit of a disappointment, but it was very windy out around that flat open course, which probably cost 20-30secs. Still some more hard work required, but i feel it just has to "come together on the day" and i've...

Consistency is the key. I'm hoping to go over to a nice flat course tomorrow morning for a 5km pb attempt (weather permitting).

New ground: 10 unsuccessful modern stadium moves

I remember reading that Juventus old ground (Della Alpi) was never popular. However I loved it, and although huge and never filled, it always seemed a good atmosphere. Their new ground seems well received, although again its well out of the centre of town.

New ground: 10 unsuccessful modern stadium moves

Written by an outsider it's a fairly good summing up of the situation. Not saying i agree with all of it at all... but a non-Cov journalist (and it seems most Cov-based journalists) haven't got the appetite to look into the finer details of why we are where we are...
