I'm not saying you are wrong (everything is about opinions).... but i'm not necessarily in agreement. I think far better if you're getting injured would be to let a running coach take a look at your technique. And perhaps even more importantly, runners are too quick to fly into those hard...

Birchfield Harriers still going very strongly. I'd say the top club in the Midlands is currently Notts AC, very closely followed by Birchfield Harriers and Bristol&West. I'd say we are currently in the next tier down, battling it out with Tipton Harriers, Cheltenham&County, CityOfStoke...

This has been held at Aldersley Park Wolverhampton recently (next to Wolves Academy). In 2019 I had the honour (misfortune) to step up to our first team, which I knew would put me way out of my depth. I was crapping it when our 2nd guy came round in the lead... I was on the 4th and final leg...

    Raining

18:14 for 5km this morning on a little circuit of quiet roads in Bedworth. A pb by 20secs, icy though, must've been worth another 10 seconds or so.

    Don't know about you lot....

If CC84 says we're down, we'll probably end up in the playoffs... The guy's either on a massive wind-up or is genuinely a complete retard, I'm not too sure which... But he's possibly the biggest crackpot to ever grace this place, which is quite an achievement.

Cov Way Ultra: Yeah its one day. There'll be a lot more people walking it and taking 12hrs+ than running it. Really important to pace it sensibly and keep eating/drinking. First year I did it (2018?) I was doing 7min/mile the first 10-15 miles, and by the time I got to Brinklow I was...

Correct. The ACW race/ultra/challenge is a good one if you can manage it. 40 miles.

https://www.suunto.com/move/petereccleston/60043c4398f9524e143873b1 That should link to it. I don't have Strava. All the off-road stuff was on public rights of way, but it was unclear over a number of the fields, did have to divert a couple of times, and yes a few horses in close contact...

15.5 miles cross-country today with a mate from Nuneaton Harriers.... From Bedworth and out round the farms of Astley, Corley and surrounding areas.

I can't rememeber exactly where it gets poor. I rememeber trying to cycle along it from the Greyhound to Rugby, and at some point it turned really poor.... You might get as far as Ansty/Shilton OK. Definitely the section after that towards Brinklow I remember being quite muddy from the Cov...

    Running

It's not 6 miles. I run from my house in Bedworth/Ash Green, to the canal behind Bedworth Park, along past the Greyhound, the Ricoh, and to the Canal Basin, and that is just about 9 miles. So I'd say the Ricoh to canal basin is probably around 4.5 miles. The path between the two has been...

    Newport Reminder

Quite possibly. Although I went to the Ricoh with an open mind, but as I say the experience just wasn't there for me... I should probably say it killed the passion for home matches, as I still enjoyed travelling away, right down into League 2. Although in my case there's other factors at play...

    Newport Reminder

Well yeah, it was still shite tbf... For me, languishing at the bottom of the championship in the last couple of years at Highfield Rd was still a far better experience than Mowbray in league1 at the Ricoh. But everybody has different expectations... I can only speak from my own views and...

    Newport Reminder

The match day experience at the Ricoh is terribly poor, something that seems to be backed up by away fans opinions too. Facts and figures might paint a different picture, but I doubt I'm alone in thinking the Ricoh is a poorer place to watch football than Highfield Road was.

    Newport Reminder

To be honest for me the massive reduction in my passion for the game came as a result of leaving Highfield Road, and the subsequent total erosion of the match day experience. To me it mattered less that we were shit. So whilst we do need to be back in Cov, and that means Ricoh for now, I agree...

    Weight and working out

For what it's worth, I've always stuck close to the 16:8.... Well it's more like 15:9 in my case, and I do have perhaps a spoonful of yoghurt or a Ryvita or something at breakfast time, so it's not a straight 15hrs. But it's a fairly solid principle. Everyone is different and will find...

    Weight and working out

A little bit of misinformation on here. If you consume less calories than your maintenance figure then you'll lose WEIGHT, not necessarily fat. To lose fat, then the other factors such as macros and exercise come into play.

We used to go Flying Standard, Forresters, Brewer and Baker, then possibly Binley Oak. Brewer and Baker was certainly "unique"

    Scariest time at a ground.

I think the worst I've seen at football was either Villa away multiple times in the 90's, or one of the games at home to Manchester United around the same time. I was not involved in that stuff but one of the pubs we used to drink in was the Brewer And Baker so obviously we saw and heard a lot...
