    Unbelievably depressed

Sorry, just don't understand why anyone is excited. Look at the state we're in - how can you forget about that and celebrate our performance in a joke competition? It's a bit like the Titanic sinking and the survivors congratulating each other on how fetching the lifebelts look despite the...

When did i say i was scared of protesting? I have protested myself, including outside SISU head office. I approved of all the protests until Sat. I'm just saying that being in the middle of it all was deeply unpleasant. Most of those around us seemed to be spotty kids who thought it was fun to...

    Unbelievably depressed

Sorry but Wembley would be a day out, it wouldn't distract from our dire situation. I just can't get excited about it at all.

    Idiots

I have been in sympathy with all the protests this season until yesterday. But for the first time EVER, i left a game with 30 mins to go. When more flares were thrown on when the second goal went in, me and 4 other lads just looked at each other and we all knew it was time to go. It wasn't the...

    SLADE

It's time to stop moaning about Mowbray..... Now is the time to moan about Slade (yes i know this has two threads already)

    SLADE

As i said on the other thread, i DO think we're doomed....but even so, i can't celebrate or enjoy Wembley whilst we're going down. We still need to fight to end end and not give up so that we keep a bit of pride and dignity. I can forgive us getting relegated but not if we give up en route.

The biggest mistake the OP makes is to assume that there is any reasonable chance we might stay up. Our fate is sealed. We will not be mathematically down for a couple of months but we going to go.

Otis, fuck the Wycombe game. That's not the priority. We need points on the board, the Checkatrade is a sideshow, Wembley or no Wembley.

One thing that gives hope is that many CCFC have looked doomed but stayed up, hence the whole "Sky Blue Titanic" thing. Paxman is right - I wasn't trying to "prove" we are going to get relegated, but the numbers do make sobering reading because they really underline the size of the task ahead...

Match Thread Northampton v Coventry Match Thread - Saturday 28th Jan

If Stokes is fit, then bring him in ahead of Haynes. If we're gonna get out of this, we might as well gamble on his fitness because any great escape act will be based primarily on tightening up at the back before nicking the odd goal. I'd also throw them a curve-ball by starting with both Rose...

It's all gone quiet over there - Transfers...

I agree with Earlsdon....you do worry that if Stevenson is sold at the last minute, we won't have time to use whatever money is available from that to make the signings we need. We also must worry that Mark Venus is still the one doing the recruitment......

    SLADE OUT!!

I thought Slade was a great appointment but 2 points from 5 games is clearly a big worry now. It wasn't so bad after the Bolton game when we'd just missed out on two wins in a row. I fear that the squad's boost in confidence from the performances against P'boro and Bolton may will have...

    Relegation thread

Morning - a bit of depressing maths/stats for you all. If we take the 50 point mark as a survival target, we have got 19 remaining games to get there from our current 21 points. To get 29 points over 19 games means winning points now at a rate of 1.52 points per game from here on...

    SLADE OUT!!

For the next game at Northampton (don't care about the EFL Trophy, I would trade a defeat at Swansea for 3 points on Saturday 100 times out of 100), I think RS needs to remember that wing backs do not seem to work, for anyone. Time to get back to a flat back 4. Hopefully Stokes will be fit...

    SLADE OUT!!

I'd agree with the majority on here that the last throw of the dice is goalscorers being signed during the rest of the window. It doesn't seem likely we'll stay up with just the current personnel. Slade's record this season, with Charlton and us, is now played 21, points 22. There's no way a...

    Kwame Thomas

Was going to ask the same question - back in November he was meant to be out "for another 4-6 weeks" so unless he has had another niggle then he should be ready. We are so thin in terms of striking options at the moment it can't do any harm to have him fit, but as others have posted it's likely...

No, there's only one decent option and that's staying at the Ricoh. Not sure why everyone finds that so objectionable.
